Zamfara leads as FG publishes full list of 11 million “poor and vulnerable”

The federal government on Friday, published the full list of 11 million “poor and vulnerable” Nigerians by states.

According to the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), the number cuts across 2.6 million households.

Zamfara State has the highest number with 1.34million people across 290,000 households

Sokoto State is the least with 18,435 across 3,347 households.

The South-East has the lowest number of vulnerable Nigerians with 383,316 among all the regions.

NASSCO, however, did not include Ebonyi and Ogun States on the list, because the states are still in the process of building their social register.

The whole South-East has 383,316 while Zamfara alone has 1.34 million.

Look at the number of household from Zamfara, Kano, Katsina and Kebbi.

Then compare with Lagos.

If this list isn't a fake, then whoever is in charge should be made to explain how they come about this.

This is highly provocative and unacceptable. There are poor people everywhere.

What do you notice in the figures?
How did they arrive at these figures??
When these funny people churn out spurious data as this, they already have a game plan at hand.
When and where we have issues with figures, we need to contest them vehemently before it is too late.
Very soon these doctored and unbalanced data becomes a National Data and a basis and yardsticks for wealth sharing that will give so much to regions that bring nothing to the table at the expense of the regions bringing so much.
Once is it accepted, there is no going back on it till thine kingdom come.
People of Southern Nigeria, una better shine your eyes.
The subtle data u see today will become issues of contention tomorrow.

Na scam.

It's difficult to even audit with the mode the cash is shared .

What they do is give like 50 to 100 per state and pocket the rest.

A reasonable government would have used this to encourage those people to open bank accounts

The whole of south west is less than one northern state, e.g compare Jigawa with the sum total of the whole south west.
