Criticisms have trailed the sacking of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State by the Court of Appeal, triggering reactions that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was at work to run one-party system in Nigeria.

The sacking of Mutfwang was the third experience of the opposition in four days.

Last week, Ambassador Iliya Damagum, Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), raised the alarm that there was a plot to overturn the will of the people as expressed during the general elections.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters, Damagum alleged that there was a design by the APC to β€œcripple democracy, overthrow the democratic rights of Nigerians, suppress the Rule of Law and downgrade our nation to a fiefdom run by the whims of a cabal.”

Mutfwang of the PDP had 525,299 votes while his APC challenger, Nentawe Goshwe, polled 481,370 votes in the governorship election in March.

Goshwe challenged the victory at the tribunal saying that Mutfwang did not comply with the Electoral Act as he was not validly nominated and sponsored by his party.

The panel dismissed the petition for lacking merit, but Goshwe headed to the appellate court. In its judgment on Sunday, the appeal court headed by Justice Elfrieda Williams-Dawodu sacked Mutfwang for not being validly sponsored by the PDP for election.

On Thursday, the appeal court sacked Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State of PDP, declaring that the governorship election in March was inconclusive.

The following day, the same court nullified the election of the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

These recent court rulings leading to the sacking of opposition governors have gotten Nigerians talking as they pointed to the APC as the mastermind.

When PDP was not united we told them of the consequences. Infact, the judiciary was been linent on Obi because of the public opinion, he was not an LP member when became their candidate though he failed afterall.

When Atiku raised alarm that the Appeal Court judgment had Tinubu election team Watermark meaning that the judgment was written by Tinubu team and made public in error with the Watermark it was swiftly denied.

Now its becoming obvious that APC is writing the judgments, this is why the key candidate in Kogi has said he is not going to court because he lacks confidence in the judiciary and he was an active member of APC until recently when he lost the APC primaries due to imposition of candidate by Yahaya Bello

Nobody called Diri and !atswalle (both PDP candidates) and later Governors Supreme Court Governors when the Apc candidates were sacked. In fact, in Zamfara, all the APC candidates who won all the seats in the state and national assemblies were sacked and PDP candidates who came distant second became winners. But Uzodinma was derogatory called supreme Court Governor.

What happened in Zamfara that led to cancelling the votes of all APC candidates is exactly what is happening in Plateau State now and people are now crying. I am sure the PDP leaders know they goofed big time.

It’s definitely heading to a tribal bloodshed end . They have destroyed every system in the country from schools to electoral system to judiciary and now the total destruction of 4th republic , a democracy countless number of Nigerians lay down their lives to achieve and on top of that the worst economy and insecurity in the Nigeria’s history. It is definitely heading towards a tribal bloodshed like Hutus and Tutsis massacred each to bring progress to Rwanda.

Our judicial system is gone like gone.

Tinubu wants to turn Nigeria to a one party Country

By the time APC is done with this country na only them and few people go remain for them Govern.

After turning this country to a one party state, their Islamic agenda will be achieved .

To tell you something is going on, the courts have no other issue to attend than politics? INEC should be scrapped while courts pick rulers.

What do you expect from a drug baron.

Criminals seize power to increase their enterprise not to better the life of the masses.

The judiciary is officially for sale.

Ganduje is on a mission to make a point. He is distributing dollars to judges. He has the full support of BAT.

It's grave injustice to remove a candidate who scored highest number of votes on some flimsy excuse he wasn't validly sponsored by party,

DECLARING SOMEONE WHO DIDN'T SCORE THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF VOTES WINNER DEFEATS THE MAIN AIM OF ELECTIONS AND DEMOCRACY

It's this same Court of Appeal who said nomination of candidates is the internal affair of the parties, for this reason Lawan who didn't even take part in the primaries is in the Senate today

The courts shouldn't be allowed to have such powers. That 3 or 4 , maybe ogogoro drinking, judges can just sit somewhere and terminate the mandate of someone that hundreds of thousands of people voted for
