I need clarity on a particular situation. I’m on a skilled worker visa but I intend to change my sponsor. I currently have 2 offers from two different trusts and both are willing to offer sponsorship. I just got COS from one of the trust but I prefare the offer from the other trust because of the benefits attached to it…. I’m currently waiting for the other COS My question is can I have 2 COS from different employers? Is this legal? then decide which one I’m going for before applying for visa… Need to know if it can be done such way….. Hoping to hear from anyone with experience. Thank you 1 Like |

Good morning house... Please I need your advice A friend in UK is trying to assist my sibling come over on a Cos care giver job role and my sibling is thinking of marrying his longgggg time girlfriend so he can go with her as his dependant or vice versa as the case might be . Please advice if it will be possible considering that he already made plans of having the court wedding by this December and paying her dowry also. But his friends is thinking that the sudden marriage plans might raise a red flag eventhough he has a WhatsApp conversation with this lady that spans more than 5yrs...pictures both old and new Both parties have their international passport in their separate names though as it was done earlier this month when there was no plan of even relocation on the cards yet. Kindly advice to avoid resources from his friend over in the UK to go to a waste Cheers!!!! |

Good day all the Oga’s in the house. Main applicant is already in the UK. Dependants are ready to apply for visa to join the main applicant. Can they use the UK bank statement of account of the main applicant who is already living in UK for their maintenance when applying for the visa in Nigeria? |

okeysoninv:Incorrect. They should show evidence of relationship of 2 years for those coming as unmarried partners. If you are married, there is no rule concerning the length of marriage. 4 Likes |

Dhombre:I don’t think the 2nd employer would be able to apply for the COS if there is an existing one just applied for, this is what I heard from some colleagues… the first ones would need to withdraw theirs… |

Dhombre: It's ur time jaré...u can have as many offers as u like....and dump them as u wish ... U can be working for an employer and get another sponsorship from multiple employer... It's legal.... Employer's get a refund of their Immigration skill charge from home office if a sponsored employee doesn't take up the job ....or even take the job but doesn't work all through the number of years they sponsored .... which is why home office insists employers must be the one to pay for COS and ISC.... 1 Like |

Greetings My Good People of Nairaland. Please I need suggestions on an offer I have. I am a Registered Nurse, hoping to relocate to UK. I have passed through all the steps and currently preparing to write my OSCE in the UK. I had to sponsor myself to UK for my OSCE exams. So recently I got job offers from 2 NHS Trusts in UK after passing their job interviews. They are willing to give me COS for my Skilled Worker Visa Processing, but none is willing to make any financial commitment for my relocation. THEY MADE IT CLEAR THEY DO NOT OFFER ANY RELOCATION PACKAGE. This means I have to; Pay the Skilled Worker Visa Fees myself Pay NHS Surcharge myself Pay for flight Pay for my TB tests myself And even cater for my accomodation on arrival. The cost runs into millions of naira, which I do not have. My questions; 1. Does anyone thing the offer is worth it, and should I accept it considering how difficult it is getting NHS offers now? 2. If I decide to go through Health and Care Worker Visa Route, the visa processing fees will be cheaper than Skilled Worker, but is it advisable? 3. Is it advisable to take a loan and invest in the relocation plans, since I have an offer already? Every suggested will be appreciated. |

okeysoninv: Please stop misleading people here if you don't have vital information. Their is not stated date, even if you like marry today and apply tomorrow, you must provide evidence of marriage, not just certificate but pictures that dates back when you people starts dating as a prove. |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by ChisomFav2000: 11:06am On Nov 20, 2023 |
illuminaty: Their is no time frame of marriage, just prove to them that you people have been together, like pictures, enough pictures maybe joint account or any convincing evidence. Even if u like marry today, e no mean anything. |

Cuteandkind: Good morning dear, congratulations for passing your OSCE. You don't even need to bother your self much my dear since you now have your UK PIN, start applying by yourself and if you are a mental health nurse, you get a lot of people looking for nurses with UK PIN, most times this things are by luck. Am yet to write my OSCE but I did several applications with the help of my hubby and we are lucky, I have two offers, one is in Brighton but they don't offer relocation package and the last one is NHS trust and they are offering everything. Just apply and pray my dear God will see you through. Good luck. |

ChisomFav2000: Thank you so much Sis. Okay, I am yet to write the OSCE, but I am booked for month ending already. Also, I am not a mental health nurse, I wish I was. I am an adult nurse with RN and BSc. Do you think I should leave these 2 offers and wait for a better one. I have an offer from Brighton too. |

ChisomFav2000:Good morning ma,she said that ,she is preparing for OSCE, meaning that she don't have PIN yet.In my opinion,I will advise her to accept the offer from NHS and pay for everything by herself since they already said don't pay relocation package.that is my own opinion.thanks |

Cuteandkind:My dear, you are really very lucky to get these 2 offers.alot of Nurses here in Nigeria don't have such opportunity.pls I will advise you to accept the offer from NHS and look for money to pay for all these things they couldn't pay.when you start working with them, you won't regret it. |

Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by pretty1986: 2:14pm On Nov 20, 2023 |
ChisomFav2000:Exactly,that money she used in travelling to uk on visitors visa, would have been use for processing her health and care visa.except if she got the offer while already in Uk with the visitors visa. |

pretty1986: Sure, you can get offers. But you must return to your home country and process the appropriate work visa, before you can legally take up paid employment in UK 1 Like |

Cuteandkind:If you have an offer from the NHS, just accept it. But while you're in the UK, apply intensively to other NHS trusts and attend their physical interviews, you might have a better chance of getting good offers there than in Nigeria. By the way, the offers you said you got, are they nursing roles? If yes, you don't have to apply for SW visa per se nor pay for IHS (surcharge) because nursing is under HCW visa (which is exempt from IHS), so you'll eventually select HCW visa route, not just SW visa. |
