Let me place some events in chronological order:
1. GEJ buys American weapons to fight bokoharam
2. America takes the money and sets a date of delivery (it was one or two years)
3. At the expiration of the date, America tells nigeria it won't sell that equipment due to some American law about human rights (the same human rights we can all witness with us sponsored Nazis in Ukraine and us sponsored IDF in occupied Palestine). I'm not sure if the USA has given the money back.
4. Nigeria keeps undermining Russia in international gatherings (to please Washington)
5. Nigeria goes to Russia with request to buy weapons in order to fight boko haram.
6. Russia says: we can sell you weapons, but you have to stop undermining us in international gatherings.
7. Nigeria responds by saying the west is not a reliable partner in defense matters and that Russia is always there when we need them.
8. Nigeria gets the weapons from Russia.
9. Nigeria forgets everything above and gets back to antagonizing Russia and licking the west's ass.
