It is what I intend to do at the expiration of my rent if my landlord doesn't return my caution fee.

Some of these landlords are very dubious. A tenant pays you caution fee in the hope that the money will be used to repair anything damaged in the house. The tenant leaves when his/her rent is due and leaves no damage, but to give back the caution fee becomes a problem.

I have been careful not to damage anything in the house. I am staying for just a year. If my landlord refuse to pay me back my caution fee at the expiration of my rent, I will destroy something in his house so he can use the fee to repair the damages.

Tenant is not supposed to pay for wear and tear. Tenant is only responsible for damage

Oga landlord, well done. Caution deposit ought to be refunded - if there is significant structural damage CAUSED BY THE TENANT. Normal wear and tear does not count as it is expected.

Some will even do total repainting of the apartment that they are parking out from, is that not wear and tear?

Did the same thing when the bastard landlady cheated me of my rent.i broke up the Pop ceiling big time , damaged the WC and cut up plumbing hose ! angry

The money when she go take fix those damages ehn!the Olosho landla no go ever forget me in her life!some of them are very useless and love cheating! she called me tire,I told her to go to court or police but she won't ever set her eyes on me for where I dey now, almost 4 yrs now.rubbish

When I was in grad school then and wanted to move out of the apartment I rented, my white landlady had no qualms refunding the extra fees I paid. She said she was shocked that the house was so clean and no damages. In my mind I was like, was I suppose to leave it dirty and damaged? I rented it for a few years. I now understand not all tenants are that good. Lolz

Sometimes people need to chill , not everything needs to vawulence.

That's how a landlord refused to refund my caution fee running into hundreds of dollars over 20 dollars damage. I told him he will vomit that money with serious pains. By the time I was done with what I programmed for him spiritually, he caught a very huge case and spent ten times what he owed me clearing himself.

He will never forget the day he tried to mess with a Nigerian. We are not playing.

Initiating a caution fee involves the Landlord to check for damages and if any, ask the tenant to fix or remove the estimate from the caution fee and refund the balance.

In this case, the landlord inspected and refused to release the caution fee...reason am na.

I am not supporting the tenants actions ..but the Landlord forcefully buy this market
