Bestmanfornow:Looking for the right comeback you have to mention me twice, same post. Omo. Yea we should ask that Finance minister during GEJ tenure how badly they messed up Nigeria that they were borrowing to pay salaries. Omo I think it couldn’t get more messed up than that. |

Bestmanfornow:LOL here we are now. You don’t want to see the debt stats anymore. Well Kanayo Kanayo told us there are over 10 million ibos in the South West. If we do the maths, at least a million or 2 of them should be among the poor people in the South west of course. They also should be struggling to eat going by logic. Frustrated human 😁 |

plaindealer:Same Ogun state that has the worst ever roads in Nigeria. The neighbourhoods are dangerously the worst ever settlement to train up children because of cultural killings of human beings for rituals. Apart from Obj,who amongst u can be proud of coming from OGUN STATE. Every one of u claims to be from Lagos hence the reason why ur igr is being stolen out of the country. |

plaindealer:Stealing by the Government to enrich the politicians while keeping the middle class and average Haruna, Dike and Tope impoverished is the definition of high IGR. Socialist and Liberal Governments are known to tax the people and corporations heavily while Republican and Conservative Governments cut taxes. Conservative and Republican Governments substrate donations to charity and schools from taxable income. These are different policies by different governments. A high IGR is the opposite of a good government in Nigeria. |

plaindealer:Yorubas suck at economics, that's why you are celebrating IGR as development. 😂😂😂 Now ask yourself, despite our huge IGR, why is SW the most indebted? Most of these are foreign debts. Capital flight..... 😂😂😂 |

IamAtikulate:But you run the European countries embassies with your cap in hand to seek for visa approval because you want to japa. Those countries will roast you alive if you dare refuse to pay your tax. They know the value of tax, hence they don't joke with it. You are praising your governors for not taking tax serious and you still blame them for not developing your states. If lagos were to be a tax haven like anambra, your brothers and sisters will not going to lagos in their thousands every day to Hustle. |

IamAtikulate:Are there no Yorubas in SE? Now compare the population of Chinese in Nigeria to Nigerians in china You'd see Nigerians in almost all the Chinese provinces but here, Chinese are only concentrated in Ogun,Lagos or FCT to show they are here for something and not just to reside How many English players go out to other leagues but you'd see guys trooping in to EPL cause it's the biggest league in the world So Igbos are found everywhere in SW for survival and you'd rarely find any Yoruba in the East....I'm typing from Ifitedunu, and I'm telling u what I see here in the East |
| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by EmperorCaesar(m): 10:04am On Nov 28, 2023 |
plaindealer:That guy dey talk say Chinese dey Nigeria U no ask am to compare the population of Chinese here to the population of Nigerians there Plus, Chinese are only concentrated in Ogun Lagos and Abj for business purposes,no g use am compare Nigerians wey dey for everywhere in China Truth is, Igbos dey even hamlets for SW but how many Yorubas dey for their villages It's like comparing the number of English players in other leagues as against the numbers of other nationalities in EPL...A testament of the best league in the world |

MadamExcellency:How many people in the east have the shameful tax record enriched biko? U guys always find a way to defend nonsense. Just tell us your governors are clueless on how to raise igr through tax. You said the south east government are conservative but they steal money to enrich themselves while the region remained under developed. |
| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by Maobichek: 10:49am On Nov 28, 2023 |
plaindealer:Good morning, i will tell you the truth in all fairness; some things in this country are skewed, internally generated revenue by states included. I don't know about other states but Abia state don't declare what she gets to the federating account, there is money in Abia state. Let me give you example, Banks in Nigeria are highly profit making establishment and not charitable at all; First bank PLC have 17 branches in Abia state but 10 branches in Ogun state. First bank and other banks are not foolish establishing branches in Aba despite the "sit at home" wahala. If you have a friend/relative working in First bank PLC, ask him or her the target of FBN Abia state and other states. I'm not downplaying this thread but both the state and federal government knows that Abia state is not declaring what she generates internally at the federal level, thank you. |

Maobichek:IGR and other economic templates are a reflection of productivity, strong commerce and vibrant sales of goods and services and also, leadership qualities. Maybe Abia is generating a lot in terms of IGR, but if that's the case, shouldn't the question be why is Abia not reporting IGR? Why? What are they hiding? What's the administrative strategy? Not disclosing IGR which is income is suspect, it's a loophole for looting and other forms of financial shenanigans. When income is low, it's either productivity is poor, economic output is bad or the leadership is lazy, not creative, not collecting taxes and cannot expand the tax base. This is why for so many decades SE people always abandoned the SE for survival and opportunities elsewhere, you simply cannot survive in an unproductive environment especially with all the able men and women leaving every day. |

Godfullsam:Lagos is a former FCT and British colony and was never developed with Yoruba taxes but oil money. Let's compare our tax haven with Ogun. |
| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by IamAtikulate: 11:31am On Nov 28, 2023 |
plaindealer:IGR is not a reflection of productivity, GDP is. IGR = Taxes plaindealer:Because Abia is a tax haven. Alex Otti just announced new tax reduction to further stimulate purchasing power. Boosting purchasing power improves aggregate demand and this in turn stimulated aggregate supply, which leads to higher employment rate and better standard of living. plaindealer:Abia is reporting it's true IGR. Abia state is a tax haven. Do you know that traders in Ariaria International Market came together and build a power plant to supply electricity to the market? That's one of the importance of empowering your population through lower taxes. Do you also know that Aba is almost completing its Geometric Power station. The city will soon have 24/7 hours even before Lagos. That's one of the advantage of building a tax haven. Official Abia State government position on taxation is that Tax is government share of the prosperity it creates. So, the government aims to create prosperity first. plaindealer:Wrong. Taxation is primarily a fiscal stabilization tool. It doesn't reflect any of those things you listed. Rather GDP is a better measure of those things and government uses low taxes to stimulate GDP growth. plaindealer:Unproductive, yet trade is the third largest component of the Nigerian GDP. You guys suck at Economics |

| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by plaindealer(op): 11:49am On Nov 28, 2023 |
The SE is actually the poorest and the most unproductive region in Nigeria. This is really sad

| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by IamAtikulate: 11:57am On Nov 28, 2023 |
plaindealer:IGR is not a measure of poverty nor productive. We measure poverty with GDP per capita and productive with GDP growth rate. Here are other key economic indicators - GDP (size of the economy) - HDI (development) - Gini Coefficient (income inequality) Go school una say no. See the evidence of SE superior economic policies below

plaindealer:When we talk about productivity, Abia is doing exceptionally well. Employment is the reason why i left Abia; in the space of six (6) months (March-August), i gave my tailor over seven (7) numbers of people who saw my clothes and requested for the number of my tailor. I traveled to Kano and saw female gown/blouse made in Aba and i was not surpise because i know that Aba is the hub when you talk about fashion and designer. Leadership is the sole problem why people are leaving but that being said, government in Abia is taxing people heavily but still not declaring what they generate. |

Maobichek:You Abia is doing well in terms of productivity, but you left because of the unemployment situation, but employment generates productivity, being productive means people are working and productive. To tell you the truth Abia to me really should be the most economically vibrant state in the SE, but that's up to the leadership, they need to do more. |
| Re: 2022 Internally Generated Revenue, Top 3 Per Zone by IamAtikulate: 1:22pm On Nov 28, 2023 |
plaindealer:You see why I said you are an Economics illiterate. Employment doesn't generate productivity. Productivity is an economic indicator that measures how much goods and services you can produce from a given input (resources, including time) You are productive if you get more done with the same input. plaindealer:😂😂😂 |
