Nigerian Military behaves Like Boko Haram--Inspector-General of Police Says The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun has described.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun has described the military invasion of the Adamawa State Police Command headquarters as a “Boko Haram terror attack.”

Egbetokun, who visited the command on his first official visit on Monday, condoled with personnel over the unfortunate invasion of the command on November 21, 2023.

The police boss said the unfortunate attack on the Adamawa police command by recalcitrant soldiers caused the death of Inspector Daniel Jacob.

According to him, their action was no less an act which could only have been carried out by "terrorists".

He further labelled the attack as barbaric, saying the incident would be the last of such ugly incident because it had been tabled before the highest authorities in the land.

He said, "It was an unfortunate incident which should never have happened. I believe this is going to be the last time it will happen in Nigeria.

"These people came like bandits and carried out the attack on our facility in a manner similar to invasion by Boko Haram."

Earlier, in his remarks, the IGP regretted the murder of its officer during the invasion by recalcitrant military personnel on its facility.

He said, "Inspector Jacob Daniel was an officer, on duty at the quarter guard on Wednesday last week when he was murdered, following an invasion on this headquarters by some recalcitrant soldiers, in an attack that was unwarranted, carried out in a manner reflecting the activities of Boko Haram by their invasion on this facility."

"I am in your midst this afternoon to share the grief that you have. I learnt that he was an officer that was committed to his duty. He always demonstrated the highest level of dedication to duty. But unfortunately, we lost him to the attack that was unwarranted and barbaric."

According to the IGP, he had taken up the incident at the highest levels of government to ensure justice for the slain cop, who died during that attack.

After observing a minute silence for the slain cop, Egbetokun admonished officers of the force not to allow the incident to dampen their morale. He insisted that justice would be served and explained that the two security agencies were not at war with each other, adding that they were sister agencies working towards the same goal of securing the nation.

The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State command, Afolabi Babatola, drew wide applause from officers when he tabled the request for armoured personnel carriers, gun truck and Hilux vehicles to maintain the "tempo" of the force.

The CP had said, "in fact the command in particular and the state in general would have been in a state of total calmness if not for the unfortunate incident that happened on Tuesday 21st November, 2023.

"I will like to use this opportunity to request for Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), gun trucks and Hilux Vehicles to maintain the tempo."

What do you expect when and where "repentant Boko Haram" are reintegrated into the society, and later recruited into the Army!

Boko Haram have infiltrated into the entire Nigerian military and change their orientation. We are in trouble. Know this and know peace!

Any group of Army that tryst to invade a police station again will meet fire for fire. Army can't be behaving irresponsible just to prove a point. Police officers can shot guns too.

Look at what they do in the Eastern part of the country burning people's home and shooting straight bullet at any living thing. When a soldier being killed in any village that village will be raised down. Very unprofessionals parading themselves as soldier, no professionalism in them.

There's nothing unprofessional about the statement. Spilling the facts do not mean unprofessionalism. His profession is actually to spell out crime the way it is.

A doctor can decide to say sorry while injecting a patient in pains(that's his choice), but a Doctor can decide not to show pitty, keeping a straight face(that's professionalism)

When citizens run away from a village because they are afraid of reprisal attack of their own army, it's nothing short of Terrorism.
