I need education from surveyors and other building experts.

Do you need a permit to construct a fence to secure a newly purchased property that is a bare land?

I’ll like to read the building codes that pertains to this for Nigeria.

I understand the need for strict code enforcement but I don’t think constructing a fence should be a big deal.

Hoping to learn.

This is in Ido local government. I have a petulant fly that keeps buzzing my guys.

Why don’t I have an approved plan? I’m undecided on what exactly to build but want to 1) establish ownership and 2) protect the property from speculators.

I greet you sir, i am not in the best position ( like town planners) to answer your question though but i can say something about it.


There's FENCING ACT i suppose, contained in Nigerian constitution. I believe that fencing is a major construction because it has to do with boundaries, and as we know tampering with boundary is a criminal offence. Therefore it was under the townplanning authority to inspect and permit before a land owner can construct a fence hence it has to do with other land owners and is tantamount to dispute.

For the fact you may see others paints plastic on the site does not mean is not value that painted the surface, sir.

Some clients will choose to use two different companies. One to handle the interior other to handle the exterior. What we do is what we post sir.

And if we are on-site we might use any available empty buckets

And for the aluminum profile, it doesn't come with guage, but the product describe it self,

The tower materials are thicker Dan thick imported, thick imported thicker Dan normal imported, dats is the grade, let me know if it's clear as I explained sir, thanks

Apart from sliding doors, is there any other design of aluminum doors that is combined with glass that I can use in a 4 feet entrance?

Not related but... In my opinion.

1. There are too many doors in the foyer (4)

2. Using a sliding door of 4feet means you only have 2 feet effective opening, this is too small to occupy some big size humans

3. If you must use sliding, then you might need to increase the size to 1800 or more.
