raumdeuter:It's not every noise you respond to. I agree. Except that in this case, they have actually responded but are deliberately not saying anything about the exact number they sponsored. There can only be one reason why they are hiding it. |

Itsrm:Because they did not sponsor anybody There is no list. Everybody paid their money to get there. C'est fini. |

izzou:According to to you and your friends this an apc thing not so? So why would apc send members of bayelsa govt house to represent Nigeria? Does that make any sense to you? Please download the document and go through it. It is even written in the document - bayelsa govt house. Go through that document and filter out by organization or by state. But according to you it is only representatives of a country that go to climate conferences. |

And I don't know how many times we have to say it. There is so much free money lying around that people have no use for. Investors are always looking out for where to put money. If your country is good, they will come. You don't need to travel with a million people to woo them. The stockmarket is seriously booming in 2023 and yet, FPIs are not coming in. When they used to come, no one was going to woo them. Stay and put your house in order and the investments will naturally flow in. |

izzou:Political party supporters will support whatever action their party take, every bad policy or action will make sense to them even when they also suffer from the bad policy/action. You saw that dude that was threatening other tribes in Lagos for not voting Tinubu, lamenting bitterly on Twitter about the cost of Inhaler. Suffering and smiling tinz 😁.. |

GloriousGbola:You sound more and more ridiculous, and that is why i am agreeing with you. You are correct. Bayelsa State govt collected a loan to send their representatives there. I just verified it now. No vex! |

izzou:Although aside government officials it's possible for accredited NGOs with observer status, IGOs,Top academic institutions and companies to be invited if they indicate interest but let's be honest nothing concern folks like toke with Net zero emission and sustainability. So if she really Dey there in fvcking expensive Dubai for 2 full week then it's almost certain someone took her there and that someone ain't toke makinwa. Also she didn't go there to "update any yeye CV" She no go Egypt last year, nor Scotland the year before but na sweet Dubai she come go to update CV. I might be wrong tho Maybe she's really an energy consultant for Arup Siemens and Agip, or she is a professor of environmental risk and sustainability from UI or she's definitely the special adviser to the president on green house gases and climate change. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by User09: 5:42pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
It's clear to me that the Government didnt sponsor the entire Nigerian representatives. As someone who knows how this sort of thing works, I'll wager that a significant portion were sponsored by private entities and NGO's; There's a lot of sustainability driven initiatives in Nigeria particularly in the private sector who are really keen on jumping on these sort of things It's also clear that the govt doesnt want to release the entire list of sponsored to avoid the same kind of reaction we are witnessing; Could be in hundreds and the detractors would still have a fair point. Transparency and disclosures usually help with things like this. Also all this cost being set against the potential benefits by the govt would go far in easing all the noise |

User09:You know nothing. These things are sponsored solely by governments. Governments are the only bodies interested in climate change. No one else knows cares or understands what the summit is other than an avenue to have fun. S/ |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 6:16pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
In the next few days several private companies will issue disclaimers countering any ridiculous claims that the fg sponsored their trips to the summit. It will be in peoples best interest to limit their fables. to WhatsApp groups. Bola Tinubu has always been indifferent to slander - other politicians and businessmen don't share this sentiment. I am sure if I check otedola will also be in Dubai. Let someone come out with his full chest and say otedola was sponsored by the fg and splash it across sm. |

Itsrm:THIS RIGHT HERE!!! This is the main koko. When the tenure is now winding down, that is when we suddenly start hearing how this one was indeed very bad and the new person from the same party will definitely be different. Evil demons! |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Emaprince: 6:51pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Dangote wasn't sponsored by Fg, toke makinwa wasn't sponsored by FG blah blah... This arguement is very empty. But we read that 880million was spent on 590 delegates. Since when did 590 delegates represent 1400 delegates? Is it wise to waste 880million on most of the people who has no business being there? |

GloriousGbola:Ofcourse it's common knowledge that the government does not pay for everyone. every Accredited and registered participant will have to cover their cost. But I can assure you the government took more people than is necessary We've been participating in the conference since 1985 why this one dey different? And who carry my beloved toke makinwa go there cuz as far as I know only GOVERNMENT DELEGATES,NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS, ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS, THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY, THE PRIVATE SECTOR AND PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATIONS are invited . ![]()

Taguchi:this is from the file search out makinwa - then filter out the NGO that nominated her https://www.iccdiafrica.org/ these are all the people from that particular NGO International Climate Change Development Initiative outside of the executive director, no one else who went is a Bonafide employee of the organization or they do not appear on their website they are all in unpaid advisory capacity if i was to hazard a guess a lot of nigerians simply used this as an opportunity to go on holiday to dubai - since it is now much harder to get a visa as a man under 40 or a young unaccompanied woman. las las the director of the NGO will collect stray bullet for doing toke a favor. ![]() as i have said repeatedly, the file is there for anyone to peruse and analyse.
