Hi guys. So I'm a salary earner and my monthly income is barely enough to make end meet.

I have decided to diversify my source of income through farming. I have always been passionate about farming and I have made up my mind to try Onions farming through the guidance of a Friend who's also in the same business.

He advised that I start little to test the waters and I'm really excited to begin the Journey.

God this medium sized plot of land for 25k per annum just besides my friends plot.

I has been Ploughed and harrowed and divided into mini plots ready for planting.

I'm buying seedlings worth 60 thousand naira...to transplant.

I'm doing the transplanting today as the plot has been wetted day before yesterday and yesterday.

The seedlings have already been sourced... will post pictures of the transplanted seedlings later today.

I'll grow onion from December to February/Early March. Then plant rice immediately from Late March to late May/early June... These are all dry seasons here.

Rain starts proper here in June through October. I'll also grow something during this period.

Weldone sir. Which part of the country is your farm located in. It seems your farm is located close to a source of water. How do you pump the water to the farm?. Wish you a bumper harvest
