The IDF this Evening announces the deaths of two more soldiers killed during fighting in the Gaza Strip, bringing the toll of the ground operation to 82. They are: Master Sgt. (res.) Matan Damari, 31, a squad commander in the 215th Artillery Regiment's reconnaissance company, from Dimona. Master Sgt. (res.) Ilay Eliyahu Cohen, 23, of the 551st Brigade's 7008th Battalion, from Beit Nehemia We bow our heads in respect for these heroes who was killed defending the Jewish Homeland against Isis-Hamas. The Shia community in Lebanon is unhappy! Today there were those who wrote: "Lebanon offered the most expensive thing possible, to support Gaza (قدم لبنان اغلى م على نسرةً غزة), meaning enough. And they did the math: 87 dead for Hezbollah, 1 for the Amal militia, 1 for the Lebanese army, 3 "reporters" and 10 civilians. We want to say: we did our part. Netanyahu: We are expanding the ground operations in Gaza. Only through military action can the remaining hostages be freed. ####### Hamas has signalled that it is open to another hostage deal. But in return for the Israeli soldiers and adults of military age Hamas is holding, it demands that Israel free all jailed Palestinian terrorists. Or at least all those affiliated with Hamas. These last few statements by Netanyahu, Gallant and Gantz were clearly directed at America and Europe. US and European leaders are still supporting Israel, but with strings attached. Gantz, in another swing at the Biden administration: I ask not to use the term "[Jewish] settler violence." It does not represent the settlers [ie. the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria]. Ninety-nine percent or more of them are normative people, many are protecting us now [as soldiers in Gaza]. We will deal with the few extremists on the fringe. ######## This is notable coming from Gantz, who is not part of the Netanyahu-led "right-wing establishment." Washington's efforts to smear the Jewish residents of the biblical heartland is not popular among most Israelis. The so-called "settlers" disproportionately serve in IDF combat units, and a great many of them are right now on the battlefields of Gaza fighting to eradicate an evil that threatens the entire nation of Israel. Israel has assembled a system of large pumps to flood Hamas’s system of tunnels under Gaza with water pumped from the Mediterranean Sea. The IDF set up 5 large water pumps which flood the terror tunnel network within weeks. Joint IDF and ISA statement: The IDF and ISA reveal special documentation of Hamas: Senior Hamas operatives of the Northern Gaza Strip Brigade and the Gaza City Brigade in never before seen footage from inside Hamas tunnels; most of the senior commanders were eliminated. The Northern Gaza Strip Brigade is the second largest brigade of the Hamas terrorist organization. Hamas commanders were hiding in the tunnel, located under civilian residences and near the Indonesian Hospital, during the strike. With assistance from the IDF Intelligence Directorate and the ISA, IDF soldiers eliminated the brigade's commander, Ahmed Al-Ghandoor, the Deputy Brigade Commander, Wael Rajab, and other senior operatives, including: the commander of the brigade's support battalion, the head of the technical and operational support department, and the observation officer for the northern Gaza Strip. Ahmed Al-Ghandoor served as a member of the inner circle of Hamas' military wing. Al-Ghandoor was responsible for directing and managing all terrorist operations of Hamas in the Northern Gaza Strip area. Parallel to the elimination of the commanders in the Northern Strip Brigade, the Commander of the Beit Lahiya Battalion, the Commander of the Central Jabalya Battalion, and other terrorists were also eliminated from this unit. Due to the damage to the command avenue and its infrastructure, the functioning of the Northern Brigade of the Gaza Strip was significantly damaged. The Gaza City Brigade is the largest brigade in the Hamas terrorist organization. In Gaza City, there are many military posts, as well as weapons manufacturing and storage facilities embedded in the heart of civilian areas. Gaza City is a prominent example of Hamas's use of the civilian population as human shields. The IDF forces, under the intelligence guidance of the General Security Service and the Intelligence Division, eliminated four battalion commanders in the Gaza Brigade, among them: the commander of the Tsabra Battalion, the commander of the Shati Battalion, the commander of the Darj Tapah Battalion and the commander of the Shejaiya Battalion. The Tsabra Battalion was significantly damaged and in addition to the battalion commander, commanders in the central command avenue were eliminated and infrastructure and the battalion headquarters were put out of use. In the sector of the Shati Battalion, the IDF forces took control of central strongholds. The battalion is responsible for the central headquarters of Hamas, among them the Hamas headquarters at the Shifa hospital, whose underground infrastructure was thwarted. In addition, the head of the anti-tank in the brigade, the head of the air formation and the head of the naval formation were eliminated. Fights took place between the parents of Israeli hostages in Gaza, some that escalated physically, during a meeting with the Israeli war cabinet. We moved into the tunnels, very afraid, not that Hamas would kill us, but that Israel would kill us and then say ‘Hamas killed them’.” 2. “We were bombed while inside the hideout. We were injured and smuggled out. In addition, we were shot at by a helicopter on our way to Gaza. My husband was separated from us three days before our return to Israel and taken into the tunnels. The Israeli army issued an apology for killing a member of the Lebanese army in its attack today. Says it is investigating. The statement claims they were neutralising an imminent threat nearby. This apology was likely forced by the U.S.
