Political observers can detect that something weird has been happening since Tinubu seized power. Apart from his bigotry and ethnocentric tendencies, he seems to be taking his devil may care attitude to brazen heights.

I’m not even referring to his “ethnic purging” of fulanis and Hausas in strategic positions while replacing them with Yorubas. Neither am I referring to other policies like knee jack subsidy removal that is aimed at giving SW a huge advantage over other regions of Nigeria. Also, sidelining popular northern politicians while projecting weak ones, can be called politics of self preservation since he obviously doesn’t want any serious challenger in 2027.

What I’m talking about is how on earth will the chief of army staff alongside the GOC Kaduna ist division order or allow the bombing of Northern civilians celebrating Muslim festivities? Are they trying to say they didn’t work with “intelligence “ or it was deliberately done on purpose? The fact that the chief of army staff and GOC Kaduna 1st division are all fellow Yoruba men like Tinubu makes the situation worse. Conspiracy theorists can easily create a perfect story of ethnic cleansing on this.

Tinubu should sack that chief of army staff now and prosecute him before it’s too late.
