This open marriage thing always sounds good to the men who suggest it at first. Probably because they’ve grown to believe the lie that women are undesirable after marriage and child birth. For their mind they’d really be roaming about town with various different women and their wives would be pining away at home because no one wants her.

Reddit is full of stories of regretful husbands whose wives are living it up in their open marriages meanwhile the men can’t even get a date. Any girl who even wants to look at them must insist they pay up. But the women are getting free dates and are even being spoiled financially on top of it all. It’s almost as if them married dudes are the ones who are actually undesirable unless they have money to buy a little affection.

Little do they know how many men would actually jump in and take their place when they slip.

Keep suggesting open marriages when you know you can’t take what you dished.

What a foolish and godless thing to do. Indeed the fool has said there's no God. How on earth does one approve adultery for his wife? It means he doesn't even know the meaning of marriage. It's easy for the married woman because obviously the adulterer partner has "nothing" to lose, it's "free" experienced meal as it were. No responsibility attached, just use and go. It's like using someone's car for free, as against buying and maintaining yours. Quite dumb.

He even went so far as to say she takes good care of herself and is in great shape for 44, she just doesn't look 20. He had the nerve to say my wife looks better than me and I could stand to lose some weight.

I love my wife and I don't want a divorce. I never wanted a divorce which is why I proposed this in the first place. But she doesn't want to close the marriage. I'm not worried about money because we both work but I do not want a divorce. I'm just glad my daughter enlisted in the RCAF and isn't here to see our marriage falling apart."

Husbands with sense would only do "shakara" with their wives in their homes but never act on it. Men would always go after anything "woman" as long as they are just setting eyes on her for the first time.
