All I know is that if someone spend fake money to me and it looks so perfect enough that I couldn't even tell it's fake until he/she is long gone, I'm 100% spending it too. I didn't ask CBN to change add crayons to old notes and call it new notes instead of making them have different sizes from old ones.
Re: CBN Alerts Nigerians On Counterfeit Notes In Circulation by survival1(m): 10:44pm On Dec 08, 2023
I just saw fake 1k note now. I intend burning it tomorrow morning. I know that anybody who intentionally spend the fake note is incurring curses on themselves. I know that God will replace it for me with something better but for the cursed soul who gave me the money, God will continue to curse them.

Emefailure should have left that old note because the new one looks fake already...hard to tell difference between the real and fake of it.

This miniature cash crisis could have been solved and controlled, at the apex level only if square pegs were only put in square holes and round pegs in round holes but Emefiele and his evil Doomed, cohorts will not allow that happen angry

Not really. Its 2ru the colors. The fake one has bolder color. And it's mostly the 1k note.

Honestly, if you are used to these notes (the real one's), you will definitely know the counterfeit one's.

Me I know but the way they feel sha, cos fake dey always feel different.

Even a blind man can know.

During the new naira redesign period early this year, a guy was caught in my village with bundles of 500 naira notes and handed over to the authority.
Re: CBN Alerts Nigerians On Counterfeit Notes In Circulation by cmon(m): 11:35pm On Dec 08, 2023
What do you expect when the country is running two different shades of a note? The new notes are not so popular so it will be confusing and "acceptable" to most Nigerians when someone spends a perceived fake note. One may just assume it's a new note. The currencies need to be unified. We should not continue using the old and new notes. One should be used, and the other one withdraw from circulation.

how about change the new naira notes to the old ones and besides these changes made to the 200 and 500 and 1000 naira notes is awkward, the 1000 naira note is worst everything na blue dye , abeg return it back to the original colors ,we are tired of mixing 200 for 500 and 500 for 200 , a different color would have been better instead of inversely changing the colors.....Rada rada emefi-OLE and buhari

How can one be more careful next time? By feeling the notes?

Just fold the silver lining and try to cut it from that portion, original won't cut because it is a silver lining/wrap but the fake will cut because it is just a make-believe coloring/painting on a paper.

Is that why we can't withdraw money in banks? This Cardoso will be worse than Emefiele

In fact, all apc supporters should be ashame. Again under apc Nigeria is witnessing naira scarcity, how much more dollar.

Nigeria can't access their own money Again. Under this the same party, we have never had it this bad.

they are doing everything in their power to kill cash, leaving no choice but digital money that they can turn off when they want. If they can sponsor terrorists, they are fully capable spreading fake money by themselves this our European controlled Nigerian govt. The European Nigerian govt bombing their own citizens inside their homes.
