Shegzdave:Congratulations to Aston villa but this is the tupe of matches that the captain should have berry all the chances he had. As an Arsenal fan, I dont see us winning the title and it is high time Arteta give himself brain if he really want to succeed in England. |

BlueRayDick:Sincerely. We should own our own bs and clear it instead of waiting for external help. We need to work harder to ensure this doesn't repeat. It's annoying. All their game plans worked. None of ours worked. Just imagine. We also need to stop this leaving it late to decide 3points in the bag. Let's sweat it out early and do all that tension early abeg. And finally, it is time to get an LB in January. A Natural LB. Abeg make Yasu dey that rb abeg. Tactically, Arteta needs to work and stop this plan of CBs dragged to fb regions while those FBs are strolling back like lazy kings. |

Asides Yasu, I'm not impressed with the defensive workrate of our Fbs this season. It seems the rest are just there, lazy, good for attack only, while their actual primary duty, they are bang average at it. |

That noise opponent fans make when Raya is with the ball shows everyone already knows he has an error in him brewing. Lol. |

daveP:What we need is a LB that can play CM not a CM that can play LB. Zinny is good but not the calibre we need to imvert. |

Spy360:Infact they should be starting him in WB so he can do his beloveth inverted duties. But LB? I've had enough!! He and White annoying me with their recovery/trackback. Whatever analysis anyone wants to use, coaches like Ebening see that as weakness to exploit. Makes me recall the shege Wan bissaka faced weeks ago. They overloaded his wing till gameplan scatter. And he's a natural RB o. Yet.... |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by mostob(m): 2:54pm On Dec 10, 2023 |
As a team, Zinny is our weakness due to his role on the field. It is only normal for opponents to target him. However, we also need to take advantage of our opponents' weaknesses too. The way we are missing chances is a bigger issue. |

Luton's small yansh dey shake sha. 45 minutes more to go. Anything fit happen. On the other hand, it seems our girls have found their rythm. They whooped Chelsea 4-1 this afternoon. |

We really played well ystdy but our attackers and final 3rd decisions let us down. Martinelli was just off ystdy. Not only was his decision making poor but it was also slow as well. We created a lot of chances in the final 3rd especially when we dispossessed them numerous times in the first half in their own final 3rd. How we fluffed the chances with poor making decisions needs to be studied. Some times our passes are just way off or we'll end up giving the wrong teammates. I believe we have a lot of clear cut chances to win Aston Villa yet we missed those chances. Odegaard was a big culprit to this. Missed two clear chances to put us level at least. If he'd converted this, we'll be talking different thing and most blame wouldn't be on Zinny. Saka wasn't too himself ystdy. As for Jesus his pressing was very important which helped us regained possession for good turnovers but I noticed his movement in the 18yard was lacking. There was a situation he just needed to pass to Saka for a one on one but he decided to dribble backwards. It was really annoying. Hats off to Havertz ystdy. His all round game was really impressive, Same as Raya. We just need to be converting our chances once presented, that's the only way we can win games. I was really disappointed with our final 3rd decisions after working so hard to create chances. COYG!! |

daveP:My question which has always been my issue with Arteta, is, must we invert our LBs all the time? It was obvious Emery came into the game targeting Zinny and Raya. Why didn’t we adjust to a flat back 4? I mean we all made some intelligent commentaries on this thread leading up to this game. Spy talked about discipline, I talked about not allowing CBs get dragged wide and so on.. I mean, if we can see it from here, why can’t he see it? With all that said, Odegaard and Martinelli should have buried 2 of those 3 chances. Those misses were poor and deflating. |

I don't see any reason why saka,Raya, saliba, rice, martinelli and jesus should start in our last UCL Arteta use your brain and don't be unfortunate, we gave won the group and qualify Add odegaard to the list too |

iamoyindamola:Everyone is hoping for Arteta not to start them but trust him to Start Saka, Raya and Saliba at least tomorrow. Unimportance match no dey ever dey Arteta dictionary in major competition. Esp that Saka, even if no one starts, that one must start. Him no dey take eye see Saka to rest even if we play Nairaland FC |

Jodera:You know the funny thing PSV sef dan qualify it makes the match a dead rubber one If we use new born babies sef it doesn't hold anything That's the most irrelevant match we will be playing this season |
