Yesterday there was a thread asking what prayer God answered you this year 2023…

I prayed God to continue punishing Nigerians who voted APC again after an unimaginable 8yrs of suffering under buhari…. and God didn’t waste time in answering my prayers … He started answering 24hrs from the day of swearing in ……. 😂😂😂😂

We never had this during Emefiele's time except during the change of currency. I don't know what the CBN governor is doing.

That can't be true. I was at a GTBank at Ogba in Lagos here like twice. The first time I entered the banking hall (that was in October), I was told they did not have cash and can only give me 10k. The second time, I was told maximum amount I could withdraw was 50k due to lack of cash (this was last week). So, I wonder where the lies of CBN is coming from.

Just wondering, what do need so much cash for?
Most cash I hold is 5k.
Infact it is just 500 naira in my wallet as I write.

What a foolish comment from the CBN, there is naira scarcity in Nigeria that's all we need to know.

The scarcity is caused by some unscrupulous elements hoarding the naira.

They've started already. I was at access ATM today and that's what these 3 igbo boys and one lady were discussing. They were telling each other that N5000 is now N200 while N10,000 is now N500. From their discussions four of them are POS operators.

The court order before now stating the end of the old currency to be December 2023 brought about the panic stock of cash, this indirectly led to the scarcity. All the same, inflation also played a major role. What you can buy for 5000 is now 10,000, so you need more paper to buy same commodity.

this problem has been on since as far back as August but everyone just went about as if it is normal.

here we are again selling our local currency. since as Nigerians we always ignore national problems when they are small, we will bear the consequences when the problems become tooo big to handle

I didn't affirm anything. People heard the news that cash was becoming scarce again so, they went to the bank to withdrew the little they had and they still didn't get all. Scarcity had been ongoing before people took that step, not before then. Had people been withdrawing their money, before naira became scarce , one can say naira became scarce due to panic withdrawal.

I started noticing this last month outside lagos
I went to various bank branches, no cash in atms. On getting to lagos,same. no cash at Allen gtb and adeniyi Jones. Even bank staff couldn't explain. Nobody was seen withdrawing a large sum inside banking Hall. Except the same politicians who are lying are the ones packing all the mlney,.like dapo abiodun did recently by sending his account officer to 2 different banks to pack millioms which was later intercepted and the man was killed in the process, so sad.

Nigerians began to react simce late November. I tot it was only me. The scarcity wasn't caused by any panic withdrawal because it predated the cbn's report. You can't even withdraw what's not available.

Only the CBN can explain this but sadly, they're not telling the truth, same way they claimed it was abolifx that caused the dollar rate to be so high and aboki fx pulled down its website but fx rate never stopped going up. This is a regime of lies.
