My question is what will people that were originally in APC in rivers do ? Will they just allow Wike and his people who have shown them shege in APC come and take over the structure of APC just like that ?

Won’t they be better off if they align with Fubara who has direct access to Rivers state treasury at the moment instead of Wike ?

I know traditionally Rivers is PDP and APC as a party is still dying to find its root in the grassroots in rivers state ; APC is like an opposition there from my little time in the state and my interraction with the oil and gas guys on ground .

I know it was Wike-Fubara unholy alliance that brought Fubara to power , but Shey he will just throw all those executive power away and start begging a godfather that has already made up his mind on sacking him ?

As for Peter Odili , wetin that septugenarian still wan dey do with millions in dollars again ? 🤦‍♂️. Do these rich people not get tired of money and power ?
sadly the same shit happened in kwara

up to 2014 saraki was in PDP

in the 2011 elections, Dele belgore was part of APC and they came very close to winning the elections, in 2014 Saraki came into APC and Belgore exited.

it was as simple as that. two differnt machinery and two people who are political enemies cannot coexist in a party

and in the end , it cost APC dearly as Saraki had his own agenda

Wike is not worth the drama he brings with him.

All these people are politically dead as far as Rivers State politics is concerned. Amaechi was still trying when he had federal might behind him. Not anymore

The Office of the Vice President of Nigeria paid the sum of N10 million to offset hotel bills incurred by guests of Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, FIJ has learned.

On November 17, 2023, the vice president’s office paid the sum to Royal Pacific Group, and the payment description states, “Payment in favour of Fraser Suites, Abuja, Nigeria, for the settlement of hotel accommodation bills for the service rendered to guests of Mrs Folashade Tinubu-Ojo”.

FIJ found records of this transaction on the BudgIT Govspend platform as scraped from the publicly available Open Treasury Portal.

Folashade is the leader of Nigerian traders. Popularly referred to as Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, she occupies no elected office in government, even though in May 2023 she began referring to herself as the first daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

FIJ found records dating back to June 11, 2019, of regular payments made by several MDAs to Royal Pacific Group for accommodation purposes of guests, but this was the first payment to the company for guests of a private citizen.

FIJ tried to contact Ibrahim Hadejia, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President in the Office of the Vice President, but we were unable to obtain his contact information.

On Monday, FIJ called Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, but he wasn’t reachable. A text message sent to him had not been responded to at press time.

Because elections and votes don't matter in this state. What matters is who has the machinery to influence and write results in his favour.

That machinery as of this moment belongs to Wike. Don't forget that Wikes cousin is the current INEC rec in the state. It is he who determines who the actual collation officers will be. I mean, the collation officer on paper can be Mr A. The actual person who will do the collation will be Mr B who has firm instructions to influence results a certain way. It goes beyond having loyal supporters and even money.

It will be interesting to see what Fubara can pull being the governor but all the people I've seen so far coming to him are irrelevant.

The financial recklessness of this government may supersede Jonathan's government, but the "independent media" may not be independent enough to shine torchlight to all the shady parts.

You will see a polling unit with less than 50 people coming to vote. During collation at the LGA , they will change it to 900

And good luck getting the exact accreditation figures on BVAS from INEC to prove your case.

I usually don't go out on 24th,25th and 26th December because all the happening places are always filled up with fun seekers; I don't just have the energy to drag space with people. But January 1st is usually a free day cos most people would still be sleeping or hungover from the faaji of 31st December.

Last December 26th I was at Kunle Afolayan's Afefeye and I enjoyed the evening.

This December get as e be sha; e come be like say all the people wey dey make December sweet for Lagos don relocate finish.

It depends.

If Christmas falls on a Sunday, be sure to expect traffic, because all churches will have services on that day.

If it falls during the week, the traffic is less.

"Politics is not by statistics. Are U.S.A and U.K. not borrowing?"

"What did Peter Obi do as Governor? He was just saving money. Only a wicked governor would refuse to spend. He had no ideas."

"Fuel is actually cheap in Nigeria."

"Again, I ask, do you have proof that Tinubu is wasting money? I need to see evidence. All you people make are conjectures because your candidate lost."

"You are so desperate to see Nigeria fail because you couldn't have your way. Anyway, BAT is your president."
