BlueRayDick:
Chop I chop government
APC really do their stuffs differently.

Chop I chop in GeJ's regime got to everybody. PDP members enjoyed the most, but even non-supporters can't say they were hungry. Everybody was carried along.

But this Tinubu regime is something else. Things are getting harder every day, most people have adjusted their lifestyle. If you observe properly you'll notice people don't live the same lifestyles they lived one year ago. This is not chop I chop, Tinubu is chopping us.

"Politics is not by statistics. Are U.S.A and U.K. not borrowing?"

"What did Peter Obi do as Governor? He was just saving money. Only a wicked governor would refuse to spend. He had no ideas."

"Fuel is actually cheap in Nigeria."

"Again, I ask, do you have proof that Tinubu is wasting money? I need to see evidence. All you people make are conjectures because your candidate lost."

"You are so desperate to see Nigeria fail because you couldn't have your way. Anyway, BAT is your president."

you forgot to add

""DO WE SPEND DOLLAR IN NIGERIA"?

lastly

BlueRayDick asked what Odili need more millions for.
I've been very close with politicians in real life, and one thing I take from most of them is they hardly invest and they spend money unnecessarily. That is why you see someone that looted hundreds of millions going broke within a few years.
They have this mentality that another appointment will come and more money will come. But then, in life things don't always go the way we want.

"What would Peter Obi have done better?"
If obi actually knows what's good for him he'll back off and not and go and put himself in more wahala, afterall he's still likely to lose again going by the precedence of the recent elections, just sit down, enjoy your money and watch the scheme of things like the rest of us both home and abroad but then again the quest for power is more than enough to push a sane man into the burning bush.

The reason why I asked is because I expect Odili to be in the level of Tinubu as far as money siphoned from government purse is concerned.

Odili ruled a very rich Rivers state; I even read he was the one that floated Arik Airlines. I rate him and Tinubu as the top 2 ex governors that made most money from the 1999 set of governors.

All his children are grown and well sorted for life in their own chosen fields. Wetin dem wan use money do again ?

It's the irony. Campaigning for and defending the worst candidate of the top three in terms of health, scandals, and financial misappropriation who's certain to tether the sinking ship to the submerging fallen boulder, hasting its descent into the abyss; yet telling everyone aboard it to abandon the sinking ship in the same breathe even when the would-be captain was already predicted to cut off the life buoys, shrinking their escape options if they so choose to abandon ship.

Like someone stated months back on this thread, it's taunting. Some sort of sadistic perversion.

I was at the park last two weeks and when I saw the tfare to go back home and back, I just decided to send the money to them instead of paying the transport home cause I know I'll also have to do some small spendings there too afterall I no be tinubu pikin, and I've heard several people around me and online voice the same sentiments that they're not going back home cause of the hike in transport prices. My last bro who just gained admission this year spent over 200k as school fees I didn't even pay it as was agreed earlier alongside my mum cause my brother abroad told us he'll do it, other miscellaneous like feeding, tfare, textbooks, handouts and other coded lecturer billings have been on me, parents wey never get or will borrow to pay nko? my people''s rent are expiring soon but I'm begging them to hold on till the new year cause I don't want anyone to use billing to disturb my other one. My street is as quiet as a graveyard as at this time last year when banger and fireworks go dey fly upandan with meetings on a badass street bash and cookings for giveaway. And that's just a little testimony out of several daily struggles.
If everyone living here except those benefiting directly from this government decide to tell his or her stories on how we're currently faring as regards to this present situation, it will not be funny. And I'm not even a family person yet so what will those ones then say?

U didn't follow the discussion from Ibime's post to understand the context of my question.

Ibime said If Fubara will stand a chance at all against Wike in fight for the soul of Rivers state; then he will need to find his way to Peter Odili and that Odili's intervention will cost him nothing less than $10m. So I'm wondering what does a 75 year old Odili needs that kind money for again considering the fact that he has since given up on his presidential bid and just wants to stay at the background as an elder statesman?

To answer ur question about Atiku, u know that one is still not giving up on his life long dream of becoming the president so he can always come up with a mumbo jumbo excuse that he just wants to be the president to solve naija's problem (Something we all know is a lie)

my brother, if you ask me, na who I go ask ?

There are actions and consequences.. that has always been the way if life.. before one makes an act, it's very logical and obvious for the person to also be at peace with the possibile consequences if arises..

I don't see why someone will vote tinubu the jagabandit and don't expect his woes to triple..

If maybe he is a direct beneficiary of his inner caucus, it's understandable.. but you re a layman like everyone and you support the Federalification of tinubu oligarchy from Lagos to Nigeria.. I wonder what one will expect in return of that dare devil decision

Good.
So let's use the situation here that occurred not too long ago.
Someone talked about his mental health as a result of life struggles, some sympathised with him and others didn't sympathise because they said it was part of the consequence of his decision.

Now would you say those that castigated him in such moments are bad people or do you believe they had a right to?

you don't choose or control how people react when you carry your internal problems to the cyber space or public space..

People must surely have diverse opinions especially when you re at the epicenter of what brought the current catastrophic situation we re in as a country..

It's just like someone like wike who did obidients dirty coming out tomorrow to announce one bad event in his family or personal life.. of course not everyone will sympathize with him, some people will also be happy because they've been harbouring some hatred on the man within them..

You re APC, you voted tinubu, yet you have the guts to share that your life is becoming miserable and you re contemplating suiced, of course your political opponents will troll you to death because you re the architect of your own misfortune..

Who are you guys speaking of? Larride I guess..

The issue with larride is that he keeps supporting these folks when he's obviously not gaining anything from that support. I don't understand how someone will support Buhari for eight years straight, and still go ahead to support Tinubu. Okay, Tinubu has been sworn in and you are seeing that this man is performing worse than Buhari already, making you poorer and yet you're still making excuses for him.
If larride was here now he would have found a way to defend the office of the VP paying for the bills accumulated by Tinubu's daughter.

In my opinion, anybody not directly benefiting from the fg that is supporting APC is extremely stupid.

hahaha..

I understand when oasisx shines his teeth and defend the APC from his kondo in Dubai.. when dayo defends his tribesman from his Airbnb in Texas.. or when G gbola defends the old status quo from the comfort of his workstation on top 20 Jerry can powered generator..

But how will someone who was recently sacked or relieved of his job, who prior to election, was jumping from dm to dm soliciting for funds.. now election.. went ahead to not only vote for,but vocally support the people that kept him and the country in same situation.. that is much worse than Stockholm syndrome..

Like I said, once you bring your personal predicaments online in public.. take it like that frm different angle where people with diverse opinions disects it

Exactly. Their supporters will tell you that Nigeria is bankrupt, but the people they're defending are balling hard with same government money that we are supposed to be frugal with. Just as blueray said earlier, collect loans from foreign institutions loot everything, collect loans again, rinse and repeat. Buying new cars and all sort of unnecessary stuff every year, and they claim Nigeria is broke when the common man ask for his own share of the dividends.

It's not a bad thing to bring your predicaments to public view if you get overwhelmed, after all nobody is an island.. However, what larride was doing was akin to taking us for fools for one obvious reason.

Don't let anyone emotionally blackmail you into being apologetic for pointing out their complicity in bringing on a bad situation.

If I insistently told you to turn on the freezer switch before going out but you didn't do so, insisting it's still icy so you can do so later. When you go check on it and your food has gone sour and I point out you're hungry because of your actions, it's emotional blackmail to want me to be apologetic about a situation you caused.

Everything pointed to Tinubu being a wasteful spender. His godfather-like control and obsessive need for subservience meant he was always going to reign supreme and not take advice even from experts, except he deems it fit to do so. And he's always had a horde of fanatical praise-singers to whitewash his image in the media.

Nobody should make you feel guilty for pointing out the obvious. Tinubu was an avoidable disaster.

Politicians have power because of what they spend to people on a daily basis. Odili has not been in power for 16yrs but his house will always be full daily with people with different needs. So that's why he continues to need money

The country is finished. As at two years ago, people earning 500-600k monthly could be classified as okay. I know many people in this category, they were enjoying properly and keeping certain standards. Today, same folks cannot maintain the lifestyle they used to, and always complaining bitterly. If people earning 500k monthly are struggling I wonder how larride is coping.

Tinubu really needs to find a way to come good, because if things keep going this way I'm not sure Nigerians will be able to keep their much revered title of "adjusters". They will adjust to a certain point, and say no, we can no longer adjust. It's either you give us the good governance we want or we all go to the afterlife.
