Shame on government. Can't provide power for it's citizens. Yet , it's still them that is behind generator importation business. And still make AGO & PMS unaffordable for the lower class, while killing businesses with high overhead cost. 48 Likes 3 Shares |

Too bad that the successive governments allowed that to happen. Just imagine the damage being done to the environment by generating power individually outside hydro and thermal which can be easily regulated. 6 Likes |

Follow the money . The factories in China, Uk and Japan who make these generators have collaborators and shareholders from Nigeria. Anyone trying to change the status quo will likely be eliminated or sabotaged. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Hmmm! This Adelabu sounds woke. But then, that's how Barth Nnaji and Fashola sounded during their times but they failed. They try to use sounding woke to deceive us. 9 Likes |

It should even be more. If we have stable power supply no one will think of alternative generation if power. Fix power supply and price of goods and services will reduce and low of Medium scale enterprises will spring up 1 Like 1 Share |

The previous and the present government are to be blamed, millions of dollars and naira has be budgetted for the power industry, but it has always been embezzled, the only minister that would have been able to do justice to the power sector was prof Bart Nnaji. 2 Likes |

So FG is declaring that we generate our own electricity ourselves despite claiming to have revamped and improved the electricity situation in the country. Wow!! What exactly does the govt do for it's citizens? Na you go build House after toiling hard, provide your own water, provide your own electricity(pay for transformers and electrical installations plus your generator), provide your own security (fencing, dogs, vigilantes) despite paying taxes and other government levies.. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

ednut1: But you don explain the chain in the electrificaton of Nigeria before: generation, transmission and distribution. I watched Tony Elumelu touring his plant in Delta state; I presume to be at the Genco level. With this your post, are you saying Nigeria would never experience uninterrupted electricity? If the people behind generators are so powerful, why have they not also scuttled the solar industry? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Gerrard59:can the average Nigerian even afford constant electricity Solar still needs batteries and is not that powerful, its also expensive. So not a threat to them per say. Shebi Atiku is rumoured to own Mikano. We dont have issues with genco. Na transmission ( under government control as TCN) and distribution (discos) be real issue. 1 Like |

This is a shocking statement. Can he name the location and generation capacity of all generators contributing to the 40,000 megawatts of electricity? Tinubu government is proving to be worse than Buhari, I thought it would be impossible to be worst than the dullard. The CBN lifted FOREX restrictions on 43 items, and multinationals (PZ, GSK, P&G) immediately shut down their local operations and announced that they were moving into the lucrative import business. Nigeria gets about 40,000 megawatts of electricity from generators powered by Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, and those run by Automotive Gas Oil, also known as diesel, the Federal Government declared on Tuesday. 1 Like |

"A serious government will solve the power problems in 6 months" - Babatunde raji Fashola. 8 years was given to him and we're currently worse than during PDP times. This APC government is a curse, but some people support them because they think the party belongs to their region. 5 Likes |
