Spending a tonne of money on personnel cost is not rationale . A lot of these positions in these ministries can be streamlined to cut cost . Look at Education, Defense and Finance for example , spending almost a third of their budget on personnel cost in this age of AI. Then channel the remaining to health and other to improve HDI.

The budget is not bad I just hope they spend it wisely. Tho I'm very disappointed with the agriculture budget it should have been better

Bagudu is a lucky man, from been an Abacha right hand man( helping him to stack funds in notorious tax havens e.g Cayman Island, Panama) to becoming a senator then Governor of Kebbi for 8 years and now a Federal Minister in sitting pretty on a 4 trillion budget year cycle.
Nigeria feeds the elite 1% indeed. The money/power no dey go round, it only revolves around them.

Instead of politely asking questions....you just wail like an illiterate... those figures includes debt servicing which is done by those ministries.. alot of federal workers under the IPPIS scheme get paid through the ministry.. Arrears, gratuities and the rest...where do you think they come from?

They do allocate this kind amount for the development of the Niger delta on every national budget yet nothing to show for shame

Look at that very well, personnel cost is 390bn
Capital is 16bn (what do you want them to do in the whole nigerdelta with 16bn)
The problem is who are the personnel chopping the 300bn+ is Niger delta ministry a job creation avenue ? Is so how many workers are sharing that 300bn? Tens of thousands or a few elites?

A total waste of revenue and practical thinking..
This ministry I think should be majorly focused in infrastructure development of the Niger delta, in health, education and social protection programs (maybe na them get the personnel cost?)

In economy term, overhead cost are expenses that are not directly trace to a items or commodity..so I think they are trying to play smart in their embezzling way..so that the money will not be really traced to a particular achievement.. my opinion tho
