Is Water Production Business Viable?? Please Advise Me. by judicata(op):
Good evening guys, I need your advice.

So, I am looking for a way to diversify my income through solid offline businesses.

I currently run a blog that earns between $4k to $5k monthly from Google Adsense.

I have been able to save up N39 million this year and I am looking for a viable business to invest the funds while I continue to grow my blog.

From my research so far, the funds can start a water production business - branded table and bottle water.

But I am not sure of the viability of the business and that’s a concern because I cannot plunge my money into ventures I am uncertain of.

have you done this business or know someone who has? How viable is it in present day Nigeria?

Are there lessons you can share with me please??

I’m sorry if I posted in a wrong section as I can’t seem to be able to post in Business section yet.

NB: Please don’t suggest “Jakpa”, I have no such plans or interest. Also, if you have no answer, please just move ahead. Thanks 🙏

Depends on location. But water business is very viable. Search for existing threads about it, you will see alot on the topic right here on NL

Your last paragraph. Anybody who will come and suggest “japa” to somebody who makes $4000 a month in Nigeria needs to heed his own advice, not the OP.

Thank you very much for your response.

Since water business requires some form of vehicle for transport, change of tires and drivers can be a draw back.

What about Bakery or Restaurant

It’s a long and Herculean process that takes more than a year to build up.

You can start by taking free blogging courses on YouTube. Create your blog, pick a niche, start publishing contents and then apply for Google adsense monetization.

If you want to make things a little faster, buy an already approved Google adsense account and start with the blog attached to it.

But in all of these, start taking free blogging courses for a start.

I considered that option but then, too many fancy restaurants in my area, mostly empty. I don’t know how they stay afloat.

The everyday restaurants like Theplace and others require hands-on daily management and that will conflict with my time commitment to my blog, which is my major source of income.

I am engineer Ayodele,I set up both sachet and bottle water factory.
I would advise you to start with pure water factory first.
Because if you have gained ground with the pure water, then your bottle water can easily penetrate the market.
And besides,if we are looking at bottle water factory now,you will spend nothing less than 20-25 million naira for a standard bottle water factory, but for sachet we will be looking at 5-7 million with two machines.
Within 1-2 years you will get your capital back with proper management.
And this the season for water.
While if you want to go with one pure water machine,it will less than 5million+nafdac registration number too.
I have been in the business for more than 10 years now.

No idea per se, however, diversify in multi-ventures like, large scale Agriculture farming and processing, Yoghot milk business, real estate, pharmaceutical wholesale & retail business etc. By the way, May Almighty God guide you through the right path. Amen.
