Putin is not dumb Finland and Poland military are way more sophisticated than Ukraine. have you asked yourself why he scaled down the initial full scale military invasion of Ukraine. do you understand the level of logistics and weaponry required for that kind of full scale invasion. how long could Russia have sustain that? the level of casualty? if you understand the volume of weaponry, the speed and the scale at which the USA delivers them to Ukraine you would not even contemplate what you just said. no country in the world have such logistics capabilities and you need it to even attempt to win the war. he only miscalculated thinking NATO would not back Ukraine when he realized that his intelligence was wrong he scaled down the invasion and went into defensive mode. even with the defensive mode the amount of weapons been used is still on a very large scale reason he is getting supplies from north Korea and Iran, black market , raw materials from china even when Russia has the third largest arms export and by implication defense industry only after the USA and france but the gap of the industry size is quite large.
