How is this even news, should workers jubilate over this. The level of illiteracy in this country is so shameful.
Where is the use of your literacy when you reason like someone with an empty skull.
A government is paying full salary for free you said why should workers jubilate for it. Did they work for it?

With what Seyi Makinde has done in oyo State, I don’t see any politician beating in setting good record in oyo state. Seyi Makinde is ending well in oyo state politics. I Celebrate him more. Like what some people said in the past, any politician seyi Makinde campaign for in 2027 poll will win the election.

Since Ajimobi started it, it's been annual

Anything for Non Civil Servants, non Political Office holder

Ordinary masses

Tax payers

.
Ajimobi didn't start it. It was started by Ladoja. Although Ajimobi only paid 13th month for two years. His remaining years he didn't pay it again

It is seyi that has paid every year for the 5th year running

Saying Ajimobi started it is falsehood

Oyo Gov Seyi Makinde, Approves Payment Of 13th Month Salary And Wage Award

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has promised to pay state employees their thirteenth month’s wage before the new year.

Makinde made this declaration on Sunday night at the Remembrance Arcade, Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, during the 2023 Christmas Carol Service with the theme “Unto Us a Child is Born.”

Using his authenticated X account, he disclosed, “Tonight, we celebrated the 2023 Festival of Carols and Nine Lessons under the theme ‘Unto Us a Child is Born.’ It provided us with another occasion to express gratitude to God for His mercies and faithfulness throughout this challenging year economically.”

Makinde reassured the civil servants in Oyo State, stating, “Consistent with our practice since 2019, I want to assure the civil servants in Oyo State that, once again, we will be disbursing the 13th-month salary before the close of this year.”

Notably, beginning 2019, the Makinde administration has paid the 13th month’s wage on a regular basis.

Nonsense arguement don't move me,

Ladoja gave bonus for Christmas which was not up to salary and not 13 months salary

Ajimobi paid 13 months salary, and bonus,

During the Oil price deep and low allocation that led to not getting allocation to pay salary, he owed them, and when Economy was back

They got paid all owed salaries and bonuses

I rejoice with the State's civil servants.

In this current economy, even half a loaf is better than none, let alone a full salary.
To be honest, apart from corruption that is mostly going on in the civil service, nothing to ride home about. State government want to pay 13th month and every body is jubilating. God bless most of the private sectors for paying the 13th month plus other benefits consistently without fail.

When some of us argue,we do it with facts. Apart from the fact that I had civil servants beside me who were paid by Ladoja

Below is a link where Ajimobi himself said the last time such was paid was 5 years ago and that was under Ladoja.

"Ajimobi said apart from the 13th month salary, which was last paid five years ago, he had also approved the payment of 142 per cent increase to pensioners in the state."

Ladoja started it
Akala never paid any 13th month
Ajimobi paid for only 3 years
Seyi has paid for 5 years consecutively

This has been happening in Oyo state for over 12 years or so.

From Ajimobi, they’ve always payed 13month salary. Makinde also continued the legacy which is great.

God bless Makinde
God bless Oyo state
One key takeaway on this is that, despite the predecessor(s) & successor(s) coming from opposition parties, they continued with it.

It's quite hard to get a public officer holder that believes & practises continuity

Kudos to them. 👍

Your English sucks grin

I know instead of going to school you opted for gala selling on the street of "Obodo Lagos" your tribesmen's London.

No wonder you reason like as if senselessness runs in your bloodline.

What I had expected you to prove is why it is not worth jubilating for on hearing the 13th month salary announcement but instead you rant like the next mad man on the street of Onitsha

I don't blame you, it's illiterates like you. Who can't afford to provide a healthy life for their children, that pollutes the society with thugs. It's obvious you don't know what 13th months, no need exchanging words with a local bush man like you. I hope you can feed yourself with a healthy meal or are you one of those your brothers who beg for money online. I hope your family can still afford schooling at unilag. 😆. Unilag is no longer by quota system, can you afford the school fees. 😆. Poor and tribalistic.

Price determined by demand and supply
Not refinery
We demand one litre we get one litre irrespective of whether it's imported or local

Equilibrium is maintained

To reduce price you must over supply
OPEC countries do not over supply
They maintain status quo
