Hausa:
The predictability is why they struggle so much.
You could see them doing same thing over and over again that didn't seem to work.
This is an issue of improper development.
People are not seeing this because they score goals and make assists, but I've noticed this for a long time now.

The problem with an IMPROPERLY DEVELOPED talent is that they'll be found wanting when they're needed most. Why?
Because more than anyone else in the team, they're the ones most relied on for results.

Now, apart from goals and assists, let's be honest. How has Saka and Martinelli improved their game? Can you see it? I can't.

We saw how Alex Song grew and improved. We saw RVP, Fabregas, etc.
Among the major problem is the lack of models for them. They're their own models, and it doesn't work that way when you're not a TRUE special talent.

I will strongly disagree with you on this improper development talk. You're totally wrong there.

Have you seen Vini Jr and Rodrigo, both of Madrid doing like no be madrid dem dey upfront. Should i mention as many wingers that got predictable in last 5seasons from different clubs across 5leagues, with data to back up my stance?

Is Rashford improperly developed? Or should we go for Willian at Fulham? Or even Mudryk? I can go on but that's not for tonight.

Forget the development talk. It's not the case atall. Never was. Onana is predictable and has conceded 64 goals in 4months. Improperly developed??

Hausa:
The Saka and Martinelli situation has been a cause for concern, and it is only being covered up by the immense displays of Rice and the defenders.

When Sanchez and Ozil were trying their best, the defence was whack aF.
The defenders are now doing well, and our attack is toothless.

Their unpredictability is a sign of IMPROPER DEVELOPMENT.
That's why they tend to blow hot and cold from time to time.
Our attack is not totthless.

If you're looking for the definition of toothless, go to man utd thread.

While I want improvement in our attack play, especially that Martinelli but I think your criticism is over the top, with all due respect

A question i just saw on twitter

In a big game, you need goals to win. Are Trossard and Nketiah the subs you bring on to make that win possible?

😒😒😒😒

This question pain me. E suppose pain you too
Does that Mean we don’t have Subs??

my pov is both are kinda locked 🔐 right now in a way. If a 9 can unlock them and make that attack way lethal than last season, the MA needs to do the needful. Sometimes, it takes one signing to unlock some struggling players. Anything for a even better performance upfront is the goal. Right now, no be so.
Anything to boost the attack and get the desired result

One thing I'm thankful for in this Liverpool team is that they no longer have Mane, Salah and Firmino partnership.
This Liverpool attack is very very subpar compared to those trio(imagine only one clear chance Salah had and he scored embarassed)

With the big chances, Mistakes in our dangerous zone in our half and half chances we gave them today, we for collect like 3-1 or 4-1 at least.

Those guys really gave me pstd!!

Please, indulge me.

Do this for any big team, I want to know their options. Man u, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man city, Tottenham, Barca, Madrid, Bayern, psg, Juve.

For arsenal, you've given two.

Please, lemme see the two each for all these clubs I beg you.

Vini and Rodrygo all had models to help them become the force they are now. Go figure.
Are you not surprised that up till now, Saka and Martinelli are still not a force to reckon with in epl and World football? How come?
Vini and Rodrygo are not just forces to reckon with in Laliga, but in ucl and World football in general.

I hope you play football very well to understand my point.
It'll be very difficult to understand sometimes if you've not really played football to a certain level.

One thing I'm certain about is that most teams have dearth of attacking talents as bench. Gone are the days you'll have Ronaldo on the pitch and Ronaldo2 on the bench. The football world is no longer producing good attacking players for one to be easily benching.

Aside from Man city (with Alvarez), I can hardly count any other team that have quality sub attackers that'll grip the fear out of opposition when coming on(unlike those days).

Why we may not have the best and hope for improvements, sometimes I still feel we underrate what we have.

To put it fairly, Most top teams would Kill to have Trossard starting for them and not even on bench. The underrating is too much sha

In present reality Yes.

If Trossard for example, is playing for Man city or Barca or Madrid or so, you'll still point same Trossard as a quality option coming from Bench.

But now, he's with us, you think he isn't quality enough?

Lemme tell you the truth, none of Liverpool attackers fear me(aside Salah and Jota). Th rest can have the good days once in a while but they never scare me like the Liverpool I know. How much more "their bench"?

Yeah. You're right. This is where usage of personnel is now the koko. Is like the selling off a player cos he no give desired results with a manager's game approach. Only to suddenly become a banger with a relatively less popular manager all rounda. Few clubs get maximum of a player's potential truly.

I'm not saying he's not quality. But back it up with stats na. Big games only.

Remember ratings of big 6 games player is a thing, using Heung Min Son as the face of that Table. Though not a sub. But easily gives results in big 6 games. We are getting there. We are! 😎

Why I said that is because you think or feel most top teams have good options coming from bench while we, we just dey delulu ourselves with Trossard and Nketiah.

C'mon na. Give this our team some credits grin

Oya explain how a player that is not a force to reckon with in EPL was deservedly included in the EPL team of the year last season .

Explain how a player who is not a force to reckon with starts for England in the Euros and World Cup .

Did u start watching arsenal this night because all these ur cap seem to be premised on Saka’s average showing and Martinelli subpar performance this night only .

Lol... If you're looking for stats, I doubt you'll hardly see any even with all those top clubs you're eyeing.

You ended up using Son, a starter, as example. That tells me you can't easily spot out good quality attackers in bench for these top teams. Which is my point all these while.

If you say we don't have a player scoring consistently against big teams, that's another discuss on its own (and I might even still debate it sef grin)

But now using quality bench to drag Arsenal? No naahh!!

If all our players are fit, I feel we have one of the strongest quality bench (personnel wise). That tells you a lot. Na just Arteta deh loose guard

Exactly, we're getting there. Hopefully, we'll have more strong quality bench coming in that we will all be happy about.

But on a more serious note, the question made me think, but not about our team. I had to see other teams too and their bench and I noticed that most of these teams would even love to have our bench as starters Tbh.

Na we dey underrate this team

Those 3 use 3 season early games to gather 20GA on our team. Chai. With that Henderson doing like he get 3lungs too. I pray we return the favor. We need to

30 goals against us at Anfield in last 6seasons alone. 😰😰

We really don learn work for dia hand. The trajectory is changing sha. I think the psychological aspect was touched-The early morning walk round Anfield for our players....it worked. Shows some staff are doing their job well.

The truth is there are teams in EPL that will bring the max out of this Nketiah we dey frown at. Same for Nelson. Players are at the behest of managers. That's why top experienced manager bring out at least 70% of a player under them unless they no wan align. And sometimes, talent is just too much(Ronaldinho) sotey any lifestyle can be ongoing but wont impact onfield. So, yeah, some teams want our players too. We also want some team players as well. Infact, Alvarez alone from City. O boi!!

Even Nketiah is a good sub, someone that has more goals than Jesus(main striker) despite playing lesser minutes and it’s even sad to say but he’s more clinical than Jesus just that Jesus suits Arteta tactical set up.

Like I said, those people are just looking for engagement
