Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria, and by extension Africa by population while Ibadan is the largest by landmass in Nigeria, second only to Cairo in Africa. Lagos landmass is 1,171 km² with a population of about 15,946,000, Ibadan’s landmass is 3,080 km² with a population of about 3,875,000.

The third indicator to this is urban settlement which you’ve highlighted above.

If you want to talk about topics like this, you need to define your statement, and also bring in different indicators like landmass, urban areas (developed settlements), total population, road networks etc, then you’d have accurately passed your informed, and get people enlightened.

It was only Southeast tribal politics that stopped the creation of Aba State when East Central State was divided by Gen Gowon in 1976 alongside old Imo (Imo, Abia and Ebonyi) and Anambra States (Enugu and new Anambra).

Aba is like Lagos State where every Yoruba thinks he/she has a stake hence it is a melting pot of Igbo tribes and clans. At present, Aba Urban comprises 5 LGAs and at large is a total of 9 LGAs. (Old Aba District under the British colonial rule).

I remember in 1979 when we schooled in Aba what the city represents even after the war.

About 70% of Ebonyi State (comprising of Ebonyi North and Central senatorial zone) was created out from Enugu which then was in Old Anambra. It was only Ebonyi South that was created out from Abia State which then was from Old Imo State.

So it's okay for all ikwerre villages to be part of PH when PH city is in ijawland but you won't include certain towns as part of Onitsha despite satellite images showing clearly that they are all a continuous urban stretch. Your excuse is that people from there are not Onitsha people, Are Ikwerre people Ijaw people? Now you are talking about satellite images, why are you not using satellite images for Onitsha? Why would you exclude urban places like Oba, Obosi, Iyiowa, Ogidi, Ogbunike, Nkwerre Ezunaka, Nkpor from Onitsha. Meanwhile places like Eneka, Rumuokoro, Iriebe, Igwurita, Omagwa and Rukpokwu are considered Port Harcourt?

See the thick bushes now, go there after 5 years. You have no idea how rapidly the East is urbanizing. Once Ugwuogo merges with Enugu city, Opi Nsukka and Ugwuogo will connect around Ekwegbe where Maduka University was sited. Sullivan did a great job with that masterstroke new Enugu/Nsukka virgin road

All I can see here is that southeast cities are not as small as they are purported. Although they are not the biggest but they are still not the smallest.
