The Poster said URBAN LANDMASS, not including forest and deserts. |
| Re: PICTURES: Actual Urban Landmass Of Some Cities In Nigeria by Ogene001: 10:44pm On Dec 22, 2023 |
Realdeals:Forest in Igboland are densely populated and rated as urban area by all international bodies. This is the mistake you people have been making that we have trying to educate you but you refused to learn. SW building houses closely is nothing to boast about. Dispersed buildings will later merge and a sudden huge urban metro will emerge as it's happening now in the East |

@opp your statements are a bit right but will definitely lead to misinformation , and also your statements are contradictory. Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria, and by extension Africa by population while Ibadan is the largest by landmass in Nigeria, second only to Cairo in Africa. Lagos landmass is 1,171 km² with a population of about 15,946,000, Ibadan’s landmass is 3,080 km² with a population of about 3,875,000. The third indicator to this is urban settlement which you’ve highlighted above. If you want to talk about topics like this, you need to define your statement, and also bring in different indicators like landmass, urban areas (developed settlements), total population, road networks etc, then you’d have accurately passed your informed, and get people enlightened. |

MadamExcellency:About 70% of Ebonyi State (comprising of Ebonyi North and Central senatorial zone) was created out from Enugu which then was in Old Anambra. It was only Ebonyi South that was created out from Abia State which then was from Old Imo State. |

Workch:So it's okay for all ikwerre villages to be part of PH when PH city is in ijawland but you won't include certain towns as part of Onitsha despite satellite images showing clearly that they are all a continuous urban stretch. Your excuse is that people from there are not Onitsha people, Are Ikwerre people Ijaw people? Now you are talking about satellite images, why are you not using satellite images for Onitsha? You see why you an unserious human being? |

Workch:Stop being ridiculous, you added Lekki, Ikeja, Ojo, Festac etc as part of Lagos, but refuse to add Oba and Obosi as part of Onitsha? Common, I'm not from Anambra but you're biased and unfair. I know you didn't add Osisioma and parts of Obingwa and Ugwunagbo that has long fused into Aba. Meanwhile, if SE cities with vast numbers of multistorey buildings are competing with other cities where bungalows are predominant, then it says a lot about. Nigeria's population figures are fake and politically manipulated! |

Workch:Why would you exclude urban places like Oba, Obosi, Iyiowa, Ogidi, Ogbunike, Nkwerre Ezunaka, Nkpor from Onitsha. Meanwhile places like Eneka, Rumuokoro, Iriebe, Igwurita, Omagwa and Rukpokwu are considered Port Harcourt? |

Workch:Satellite images will pick river breaks as a separate landmass. They’re are the same capital city with a divide linked by a bridge across. It’s like Asaba and Onitsha |

Workch:I apologize. I didn’t mean to pour sand on your work, Infact we need more of such independent production and analysis. I only commented because I know certain facts not readily noticed at first glance. You did a great job by even attempting to compare the cities using extant sat images and putting man hours to use for our enjoyment and education. I don’t want you to stop such good work. Public work will always attract public critique, but that only makes your kung-fu better |

Workch:See the thick bushes now, go there after 5 years. You have no idea how rapidly the East is urbanizing. Once Ugwuogo merges with Enugu city, Opi Nsukka and Ugwuogo will connect around Ekwegbe where Maduka University was sited. Sullivan did a great job with that masterstroke new Enugu/Nsukka virgin road

All I can see here is that southeast cities are not as small as they are purported. Although they are not the biggest but they are still not the smallest. |

If you are sure of your mouth making, you should be able to post the videos. Onitsha is 52 sq km according to google. Ibadan city is 3080 sq km according to google and it has more infrastructures, more modern houses than the entire Igboland. |
