Brendaniel:But he's more intelligent and experience than you. Very unfortunate that people who have never been elected as a class Gov or picked as a prefect in secondary school would be misusing the Nairaland platform. |

broadman20:Me I no know why you dey vex for something that's global..... Fuel prices has increased globally but you want Nigeria to still be subsidizing with resources that could be used to build social infrastructures so tomorrow your likes will come online and rant that Nigeria is not working....how will it work? |

In as much as I welcome foreign investment in Nigeria but not this kind of investors, what was really their impact on our National economy? Nigeria needs manufacturing investors (eg Flour mills Nigeria LTD, Promasidor) not all this social ones that will come and pack dollars away from Naija. The services they were contributing are what normal Nigerian can do if our government is serious. |

post=127666990:all these your long episode, non of these companies said they left because of Nigerians. They all left because of BAD ECONOMY aka bad governance. Government should do their part, companies can handle the other part. You can't be fighting inside and fighting outside at the same time !!! |

Too many factors lead to collapse or exit of businesses in Nigeria. Principal among them is government. First we must address government policies. In a lot of cases, government policies are unfavorable to businesses. We have issues with electricity, petrol, taxation and very unfair competition. Industries do not thrive because of the above reasons, among others. Look out our roads. They are horrible. Manufacturers complain of inability to access foreign exchange at good and stable rates. Government is made up of politicians that we vote into power. If we have horrible leadership, then we should expect horrible policies. Next are the citizens. Corruption has become a culture in our country. Everyone wants to get rich quickly. Employ people and you employ destruction into your organization. We need to change in every area for these companies to remain. |

Add TGI to the list, the government is frustrating them over a useless anf dubious allegation of buying union bank. |

shiki:Only a dumb person will bring such investment into a nation like this...! If we don't solve the issues of Corruption, Epileptic Power Supply, and Insecurity, no top investor is coming here. I don't even want to talk about the severely low purchasing power of over 80% of the citizens. This nation is currently very toxic for industry and business. |
