Make we sef score. Na everytime var? 😒😒😒 See how blunt the attack is. Forget chances abeg, we aren't even getting any on target. Many still think this team will get 88goals this season? Isokay!! Saka is out of ideas Dispossession is now what opponents wait for. Self destruct. All they need na counter. Smh. That 1st goal, if Saliba was not dragged apart, it wont go in. See the faces near the goal. What's most painful is we never seem to get accurate shots from outside the box since Partey and Xhaka are no longer in XI. Smh |

mostob:they had all the time to rest well, yet see nonsense display. Tooooooooo predictable. Arteta better give these two wingers competition asap. Seems they're now super comfortable. Rubbish!! |

We had the ball for the first 10’minutes of the match and we didn’t do anyting with it . That was our undoing . Every other thing was secondary . We go again next time ! |

It's time Teta starts a new plan to make Saka isolated like Salah. Guy has 2 to 3 shirts always on him. If making him central can work and Jesus takes his wing, all well and good. This 3on1 is bringing NOTHING if you're honest. |

All the rubbish we played in first half came to bite us in the ass. Anyway sha, we move. Unto Sunday things. |

BlueRayDick:30 shots 8on target. Smh Dispossession 13times with Odegaard and Zinny major culprit. Now we are at that junction where GD is important once again. +18. If city win, and villa win too, we are straight to 4th. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 11:26pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:This is what happens when White never overlaps. If White is instructed to overlap, he will take a defender away from Saka, it is that simple, it doesn’t require moving anyone or complicated tactics.. |

mostob:More experienced teams would just resort to consistent outside shots from centre as opponent wan sit deep. We can't crack deep teams like last season. Even Nketiah is not such a technical player for that. Its not jis strength. Odegaard played rubbish tonight. But so did Nelli and Saka. This team better be clinical and super clinical. Cheap goals are the most annoying of last 7games. I pray we get zinny replacement asap. Make he sef turn sub. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:29pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Roland17:It never works with teams that sit deep. White takes one of 3 marking Saka. How is that now a solution?? Something needs to change in approach so that boy sees even more space to exploit. That is his strength. Aren't you tired as well about the 3 man marking? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Unlimited22: 11:30pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
City are three points behind you, with a game in hand. Second half of the season suppose tasty |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Unlimited22: 11:31pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:He's offered you a solution. Let your right back overlap. Simple. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by BlueRayDick: 11:31pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:Lolz . We are just at match day 19. The league is a marathon bro . What matters is how we react to this set back going forward . No team will go unbeaten from Now till the end of the season. Na make we mount our guard gong forward |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:32pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Unlimited22:Did you read what i typed? The overlap carries one shirt away from the 3 marking Saka. That leaves 2. 2! Is that solution?? |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 11:35pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Unlimited22:I don’t know how he doesn’t see it, it is the simplest thing even when they sit deep. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Unlimited22: 11:36pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:Lol. Saka is being double marked, not triple marked. He's been linking well with Odegaard. Let your RB push up and stop hanging back to cover for the 'inverting' Zinchenko and you'll see. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:37pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
BlueRayDick:Nothing Just about these numbers if the title is the target. We weren't just "justing" last season at this crucial time of the season. This is our 1st home loss. That leaves Villa, Liverpool and City as teams yet to lose at home. Let's be using the latter two to gauge progress abeg. We can't keep doing this! The approach tonight was terrible. The tactical tweaking too. Our wingers are on drought mode too compared to last season. Nketiah is still out highest goalscorer. Nothing concern champions to be with "no team will go unbeaten"! That one kon be consolation for us? Really?? And i know very well that i am not overreacting. As you said, let's see the next fix up. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 11:37pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:As it stands opponents are not worried about an overlap from either side. White takes one away from Saka, if he continues to overlap, Moyes and opposing coaches will be forced to pay attention and stop sending the double or triple against Saka. Moyes did not have to do anything differently because Arteta did not do anything differently. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:38pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Unlimited22:Have you been paying attention to even the commentators in last 5 games? I rest my case. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:40pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Roland17:My point is despite this overlapping, what did it yield? All Moyes did was sit deep and wait for counter. Basic!! Yet we can't crack em. Well errors ruined the game anyway. But White?? Lol |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Roland17(m): 11:45pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
daveP:Where was the overlap abi me and you watch different matches? Why is our attack on the right with Saka now stalling since Tomi went down? Tomiyasu is excellent at overlapping and putting sweet crosses in. Opposing coaches have to account for Tomiyasu’s overlap because it stretches the field horizontally. White offered absolutely nothing offensively. What we saw was Odegaard constantly getting the ball at the edge of the box and just spamming/ forcing crosses. If White overlaps, Westham would have to move their defenders wide and outside the box to contain his threat and crosses. They can sit inside the box and stay compact because nothing is happing in the wings because of a lack of threat. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 11:48pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Roland17:My point is Is it White you want me to rely on for this overlap? Tomiyasu is a different case entirely. What he brings to the table is everything White offers and even more in attack to help any attacker that's right in front of him. White can never do anything different from the usual. Tomi does always. So we are saying same thing but Saka still needs that breather, with Tomi or with White. So his own individual game can help that attack overall. |

While at it, can we talk about Jesus’s profligacies in front of goal? I get it, we split the goals but man needs to be clinical with the chances he gets. |

Roland17:I don talk this one taya since last season. The way he misses goals is damn not sustainable for a title competing club. It's too much. I love what he brings but it's annoying seeing him missing chances that we all know he needs/ought to score. His preseason last season and his start to the season, I really thought we've gotten that all-round striker we really crave It's very very tiring and I'm disappointed in him Tbh |
