Nigerian politicians are disconnected from the reality and they continue to insulate and shield themselves everyday. I just hope they won't all be eventually consumed one day when citizens decide to surprise them.
Which citizens will surprise them? When people like you are here licking their ass everyday?? Just dey play! grin grin

There's nothing nigerians can do about it, they are collectively ready to reap the nation.

We voted them into power by collecting crumbs or by sheer tribalism.

Nigerians deserve the leaders they had.

Oga, statutory transfer isn't the same thing as conditional cash transfer. Statutory transfer are done to concerned agencies and departments. Such agencies or departments pay the salaries of their staff on their own. The agencies includes NJC, NDDC and the rest.
iokpebholo:
1.7 trillion for conditional cash transfer??This is the biggest scam and waste of the century walahi. If you want to lift Nigerians out of poverty why not use that trillions to subsidize petrol??

Why must you always link things with ethnic colouration?

1. Check the source of the news and refute it with facts if you have.

2. Comment on issues as they come and be objective. The topic is about National Assembly Budget and how super padded it is. Don't digress be truthful and objective. And don't cause unnecessary unhealthy ethnic rivalry by incititing to chase clout

Fear civil servants, don't be surprised that is one civil servant currently serving that brought that idea of car park.

Na their way, once the money is approved you would see some who were supposed to retire during the implementation would not retire, rather, they would be stroggling to reduce their age, to enable then be amongst the looters while the project is being implemented grin

The Ordinary Nigerian is passing through the hard times after the removal of petrol subsidy and the floating of naira. Look at the amount of money that is to be spent on frivolities under this government, it is shocking and it’s not something that any Nigerian should be proud of irrespective of the party you support. The level of economic hardship among Nigerians has worsened drastically since May 29. Inflation has sent the price of basic commodities out of reach of many ordinary Nigerians, thereby deepening the poverty yet we fight one another for these rogues. All we hear is we will do this and that, the government has continued to insist that the hardship faced by Nigerians is necessary for the country to achieve economic prosperity shortly which we know will not happen with this mentality and spending on stupid things when these moneys should be used for something of more importance.

Billions on car park. God have mercy.
How many trucks of cement and roofing cost billions?

May God will cast terrible illness on these wicked people.
I will never pity a Nigerian politician.
They are heartless.....

You wey de support them. Shishi you won't get. Keep being tribalistic. Everybody go suffer am.

Abeg leave Nigeria if you can. Being abroad and hearing these stupid things relieves you, staying in Nigeria and hearing these things will just give you pepper body.
Nigeria politicians are not the problem,if you go there you will join the bandwagon.

It is the system they met,the endemic corruption, chop I chop and self enrichment that the nigeria system supports.

Until the value system changes, nothing will change.

Subsidy gulps more than that amount even in 5 months.

I'm not supporting the conditional cash transfer initiative though because it's hoax.

It's going some people's pocket

The Nigerian National Assembly (Senate and HoR) and conversely state Houses of Assembly have never challenged any budget with a view to reducing the amount rather, they will selfishly increase the appropriated budget from the executive....this has been the cycle.
Why do we need them if one of the most important reasons for their establishment and continued existence is never backed with positive action from them lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Let's do away with this current political structure or, it will eventually butu the country cry cry cry cry cry
