Clearly there are few real dad's on this thread. Go girl! Dad's blessings and approval are sacrosanct!

It is not easy to raise a good girl. The least you can do is help her choose the right man to continue right from where you handed over to him.

It is the responsibility of every dad to keep taking care of their children until he can't do it again. It's very cold out side!

While the decision to marry is a personal one, it's also the most important decision you can take as a human. it can either make you or marr you, then scarr you for life.

If the young lady trusts her father so much as to seeking his input before making the commitment, I don't think it's wrong. Like they say, if you are not sure, ask.

Lastly, fathers are not usually as intrusive as mothers in their children's relationships. if the husband can treat the girl so well in the marriage to earn her trust and love, she will transfer all the love and trust from her father to her husband, and the man will enjoy her thoroughly.

This is adorable.
This marriage will last. It is when you take important decisions like this, without your father's blessings and approval that it becomes a recipe for disaster.
I reckon the girl has always run to her dad anytime she wants to make important decisions, and she trusts her dad well enough to come through everytime. This is a healthy relationship between a father and her daughter.
Men be your daughter's friend and confidant, guide them well.
Ladies you do not own yourselves, seek your parent's counsel, blessings and approval before you take that man's ring.
The very first thing my fiancee told me then, was to go dialogue with her father first. Today we're 8years waxing stronger.

Not true!

Rather, in my opinion it is a good sign for the guy that he is of good morals and character.

She is very close to her dad and have learned the ingredients of a true love from a guy to a lady, because she have seen and experienced it from her dad.

These type of ladies can detect a fake guy and fake love from a mile away which will make them to choose correctly most of the times.

The father is married and knows the importance of non-interference in marriage and man are less emotionally and dramatic compared to women.

So he will analyze future potential issues factually without emotional attachment and since the daughter is very close to him and would listen to him, the father would help affirm some of what her husband wants to communicate in the future to her that is causing friction.

The only negative, which I don’t think is truly negative is, if the guy starts behaving in the future she will get the clues very early.

It's not a bad sign, it's best the man dictates than a woman. Tbh, i didn't say this to cause any gender war, but it is for the best. Men are more strict and don't buy into the idea of favouritism or emotions.

It shows her dad did a great job of teaching her accountability.
He simply needs to ensure she trusts him enough to also become accountable to him.

It's a major life decision and she didn't call her girl friends but called the person who has been responsible for her all her life. That's a lady with sense.
