Before you children of hate DOUBT sanwo-olu and bad mouth him as usual.....This is a government that delivered BLUE LIGHT RAIL AND RED LIGHT RAIL FOR LAGOS

Not some people below....WHERE IS ONITSHA MONORAIL? 😆

Soludo will deliver it after 23 years like Sanwo Olu delivered one small phase of the Lagos light rail 23 years after Tinubu secured World Bank interest in it.

Do you think that Anambra should also neglect basic services and utilities like free education and water/sanitation while delivering the light rail? Is that a sensible way to prioritise spending the people’s commonwealth

Providing clean water to tenants is the job of property owners putting it out for rent or developers. Keeping law, order, cleanliness and good public sanitation is the job of the Lagos state government.

Bro are you for real. Don't you know it is the job of the state to provide clean water so that people pay for it. It is because of this failure that is why people are busy sinking boreholes for clean water supply.

Why are you labouring in vain to infect others with your shabbily low expectations of state governments in water supply?

Is it property owners who provide tap water from boreholes in Chicago where Tinubu lived and got his higher education

Potable water still luxury 23 years after return of democracy

WHILE the Federal Government continues to proliferate the country with dams, it is such an irony that a state like Lagos, with its massive, constant boast of being a megacity, cannot provide its residents, thereby forcing the bulk of them to take solace in the arms of water boreholes.

At regular intervals, the two major waterworks in the state, the Adiyan, and Iju get grounded leading to the non-availability of water. In April and May last year, for instance, they both produce less than 10% of their installed capacity.

As of today, Eti-Osa, Apapa, Victoria Island, Badagry, Ibeju Lekki, Surulere, Ikorodu, Agege, Ojo, Mushin Kosofe, and most locations in the state are without access to clean water. Consequently, millions of residents now rely on boreholes, rivers, rainwater, as well as comprised wells for their water needs.

On its website, the LWC claims that it has a total installed water production capacity of 210 million gallons per day (MGD), which is far lower than the current estimated daily water demand of 540 million gallons per day.

Also, its plan to produce 745 million gallons per day by the year 2020 through the Lagos Water Supply Master Plan fell flat with the actual number of citizens having access to potable water dropping, rather than increasing 11 years after the launch of the master plan.

A senior staff of LWC, who preferred anonymity said that at present, its agency only supplies water to Lekki, parts of Ikoyi, Victoria Island (VI), Ojodu, Iju, and some parts of Ikotun.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

Governor Sanwo-Olu is a Presidential material honestly.. the guy has done excellently well for Lagos snd is still doing more.

My humble submission is that Lagos State House of Assembly should pass a law that'll make instant death the penalty for anyone or group of people caught destroying State properties. We must learn from the EndSars destructions and never allow such repeat itself in Lagos.

People like Chinasa caught burning BRT terminal in Lagos should have been summarily executed on the spot instead of sending them to kirikiri. Capital punishment of death should be the penalty for anyone caught destroying State properties in Lagos be it Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Ijaw, Efik or whoever.

Those people are pathetic people. Same way they doubted the delivery of the red and blue rail projects saying Tinubu has collected all Lagos monies. But God gets putting them to shame. Lagos remains ahead of them 100 times. Meanwhile their Agulu messiah had no viable investment/legacy after ruling Anambra for 8years. A failure by Lagos standards. He had only one investment after 8years - Hero beer

Lagos is not 22million. Lagos is over 28million.

So Lagos state should stop developing, because of population? Overpopulation is an advantage not a disadvantage to Lagos.
A time will come, when some people won't be able to afford to live in certain areas in Lagos , they will be moving to badagry , Epe, ikorodu, Abule Egba or Ogun state. Which is also a advantage for Ogun state.
Since other states are too dumb to develop, their people should be coming to Lagos, and help us increase our IGR.

Lagos suppose to have 4 functional airports and 3 seaports.

It is not the number that matters.
What matters is the size and facilities to process as many flights as possible.

How many major capitals even in Europe has 4 airports?

Na new year be dis abeg.

At times I wonder if you igbos are born foolish. Which school in Lagos is not free n which school do not have enough teachers that you can list.

Do you have free education in Anambra as at this morning that we are talking ?!

seguno2:

Please what is good about this since the progressives in charge of the state since 1999 have failed to employ teachers and other workers to put every Lagos child in free schools like the UPN governors and Awolowo did four and seven decades ago with ṣinkinni money compared to the huge resources available to Tinubu and others in the past 24 years plus

Anambra and sanitation should not be in the same sentence cos people in Rivers still report the stinking stench of dirt oozing from Anambra regurlarly to the authorities.
