He has proven himself loyal, no principal in Nigeria would overlook that. Omo-Agege did same and was rewarded with the position of DSP that never benefitted anyone but his own. How much more one that defended the sovereignty of his home State, he needs to be brought close since the enemies of his principal are much closer.

He did not win anything, he no longer have any form of control over the governor. His people might be in control of the state assembly, but with the power a governor have it will not count for much.

If he resigned as the former speaker, that means every action taken previously by him is valid, that means the declaration of vacant Seats of the house, still stands.

My opinion is, this was a calculative attempt to win the supreme court case on 15th of this month, as this would send impression that the agreement is being implemented, after that the legality of the house in Rivers court would sit on 31st, if the case is not withdrawn then know, that Fubara won, as inec would be forced to fill vacant position including Ehie's position. The Abuja case is only to buy time. If all case is withdrawn from the court, that means the peace declaration is being implemented and that can render the actions of Ehie illegal. Sim would be a goner in no distant time

The power of the house to remove the governor is over rated.

I belive the man has studied the law and seen that it is not as simple as obj made it look.


The only person that can remove the governor is the Chief Judge of the state who is empowered by law to set up a 7 man committee to study and judge whatever the house submits as allegations against the governor.


Once the verdict says the allegations are frivolous that ends the impeachment proceedings... There is nowhere in the law that talks of zonal distribution of the membership of the 7 man committee so they can all come from one zone... That of the governor.


It has happened in Nasararwa when Almakura was Governor and the pdp dominated house wanted to impeach him



The governor will end up buying majority of the members before the end of this year...

Unfortunately it is difficult to find people on this platform who can talk reasonably. They instantly resort to abuses with nothing decent to say.

Thankfully you see it the way it should. The country is in a complete mess and yet the youths who futures are toyed with, think that it is all about football matches.

Without holding leaders accountable, how can we have a good and liveable nation?
