Hi there!

I underwent the capture process on the same day as you did at Alausa, and I've been attempting to track it, but it's still in processing.
Did you use the DIY method?

If so, mine should be ready too, allowing me to collect it after the holiday season.

Yeah, mine was through DIY method. I did it in Abuja though, but yeah, I'm guessing yours should be ready as well. Good luck!

Just applied for a passport renewal this morning. For DIY folks what documents do I need to take for capturing?

Do I need a guarantor for renewal? If yes can I get it stamped at the immigration office or do I need to go to court? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

I'd advise you use Sagamu passport office. It's DIY friendly either for fresh passport or renewal.

The same thing happened to me.
Wait for them to rectify it.
Their support is slow but it will eventually be done.
Took me 3 days to get a response at first.
I was about to copy the entire federal govt ministries in my second mail to them...

I pray so.

I'm yet to go for bio-capture.

Does this also imply that we can do bio-capture online?

Not your passport. The guarantor will endorse his own passport photo.

From the information I got, I learnt they will reduce the years on passport to 3 years and fees increased. I'm not that sure if this information is real or not but I can only suggest to anyone interested in applying for passport should do so fast...

Hi guys, I’m trying to put my plans up for relocation and I’m starting with getting my Nigeria passport . I want to know if it’s possible for me to get it done myself without going to their office in Warri, delta state. Is it advisable and what is the duration to finally have my passport delivered to me or be ready?
Is Warri office DIY friendly?
Any idea or assistance will be greatly appreciated

If you mean registering without going to their office, then yes you can do that online. You'll however need to visit the immigration office to get captured. Can't speak to the duration, but this nairaland thread inspired me to DIY the first time I got my passport in 2018. I chose the headquarters in Abuja and didn't pay more than the official amount at the time save the 500 naira I gave an immigration guy who was helpful to me at the headquarters. I got my passport in 2 days.

I just got back right now from the immigration office at Akowonjo to get captured for my new passport. I DIY again and didn't pay anybody except the 500 naira I used to get a file. Hopefully will get that one soon too.

We should all encourage Nigeria to be better by doing it ourselves. So I'll encourage you to give it a try.

Also, experiences vary from persons to persons. All the feedback I got on twitter for the Akowonjo office for DIY people was negative. I almost booked my flight to go do it in Abuja cause I'll rather pay 200k to fly to Abuja than pay any immigration officer here. I was that determined. I however decided to give akowonjo a try and I had a smooth experience. Nobody requested for money and it was pretty fast too. So give warri office a try.
