A lot of changes really comes with aging, i was very into music, any good song but hip hop was my favorite.

I was always among the first to download any new song but i am surprised how i lost interest in music and football. From 2005 till 2013 i can boast not to have missed more tham 6 man utd matches but now i barely watch up to 3 matches a season since 2015.

Now i mostly listen to some brad paisley, cary underwoods my favorite album overall of last year was post malone's "austin".

As for afrobeat, i believe i am one of the oldest burna boy fan in naija. At a time i deleted all the songs on my phone and and only burna boy jams were left on my phone.
So my favorite song from last year amongst those listed is burna boy's city boys. The intro of the song a voice recording of j hus saying "Ayo, I'm not even gonna lie
I used to call myself a ugly yute, but I'm not even a ugly yute
I'm a sexy yute, you understand?
Gyal all over the globe wanna 'uck me, you understand?" is my favorite afrobeat intro of all time.
I am no fan os asake but work of art album is one of the best afrobeat album ever. Lonely at the top, sunshine are gems.

Omah Lay should always be Top 3 on any such list for two reason:

1. He's created a subgenre of his own nobody can imitate and it's uniquely his, and;

2. He has relatively meaningful lyrics even though they are danceable.

-----

But if you know what music is, you'd know Tem's "Me & U" should be on the list. Temilade knocks all of them out the park.

Make una no vex o, I came here to preach.

Matt.3.2 - and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!"

Matt.3.8 - Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,

God loves you and is interested in everything you say, think and do. Remember Fornication, unforgiveness and pride are sins.
