Omah Lay should always be Top 3 on any such list for two reason:

1. He's created a subgenre of his own nobody can imitate and it's uniquely his, and;

2. He has relatively meaningful lyrics even though they are danceable.

-----

But if you know what music is, you'd know Tem's "Me & U" should be on the list. Temilade knocks all of them out the park.
is me & u afro beat? That shalipopi and seyi vibe sing rubbish in my hear. I cant seat down and listen to there songs especially that shalipopi. Asake lonely at the top is a nice song and should be at the top, then followed by omah lay because I am biased towards him and then davido. I prefer more of old school RnB.

unfortunately none of them really play Afro beats, Afro beat is African beats, african drum beats( conga Dundun Omele Iyailu maracass shekere etc) blended with either electric Guitar or Saxaphone ....... you cant just put up programed drums infused on keyboard and mix ithem down with the western Jazzdrum and say that you are playing afrobeat, no.....This guys Are popular because they enjoyed the evolution of social media with modern camera shots crazy motion effect and voice enhacing softwares that blows them out of proportion, apart from that they are average ...

Yes, it is; even though it is geared towards a global audience. Listen to it with a headset - the percussions, the drums... You can tell it's Afrobeats. The problem is, we've so narrowed Afrobeats into it being primarily a mix of Pidgin English, native Nigerian languages, and vulgarity.

And one thing is certain: Tem's "Me & U" would outlive every song on the list for replay value and stay evergreen. Just like songs she released 6 years ago.

Nigerians mostly have shit taste in music.
