Them don tag ordinary drone without camera combat drone, lol funny country

Sometimes, I have a shocking feeling...that those in power may gradually be mentally malnourished (.low IQ) except when it comes.to stealing money and corruption.

Have they EVER seen pictures of.combat drones before?

Can this particular drone carry the smallest missile or grenade or a small artillery rocket?

This is so sad.

Haba, this is just a reconnaissance drone,na.
Must we be also.poor mentally, and be a laughingstock of others?

Sad.

Lmao. What is this irritating "news"?
There's nothing remotely "combat ready" about this. Its simply a generic heavy lift quad MOST LIKELY to be fitted with Agro or Movie-making payloads. Of course, like any other generic quad, it can be modded to suit military or combat use, but so can every car, bike, plane, phone, knife, etc, etc,
So are you going to seize every item being imported into the country Dumbos

You can literally go on amazon and place an order right now. This UAV DEFINITELY doesn't have even up to 1 hour of flight time.
Its flight time would be max 45 mins. Quads have more general purposes other than military / combat use.
matify83:
A drone of 5kg weight with 70 hours of flight time and ports for munitions is definitely a security risk to any country.

The question begging for answer is can such drone be bought off the shelves even in developed countries?
Re: Customs Intercepts Combat-ready Drone, Military Hardware At MMIA (pic) by litaninja(m): 7:04pm On Jan 07
There's no such thing as a license to import hobby model aircraft.

Dogalmighty17:
Who imported the drone? These customs guys are more than useless. If you are seizing a drone then you should also have an arrested suspect.
The NSA will never approve license for any individual to import these kind of drones yet someone went ahead and imported it.

These drones are very deadly as Russia is finding out in Ukraine. Who is the person that imported it? For what purpose? These are questions worth asking but the useless dumb customs can do nothing properly.

Cars are also weaponized to carry ammunition and personnel by bandits in the northern region of nigeria. IS THERE A LICENSE TO IMPORT CARS?

Re: Customs Intercepts Combat-ready Drone, Military Hardware At MMIA (pic) by litaninja(m): 7:07pm On Jan 07
They're a bunch of twats actually. The bandits are running free all over jos for multiple weeks, even announcing attacks. Its hobby craft that are making headlines. smh

nedekid:
Ordinary drone ohh. Something you can easily buy on aliexpress for different use. When it comes to naija, you see a whole press conference.
That was how few years ago a whole minister came to embarrass himself doing press conference over pyrotechnics for events. Another one raised press conference over paint ball guns.

No One. Because, that is NOT a "deadly drone"

Who imported this deadly drone into the country?
And if many have entered our borders what is their motive?
Lots of answers are needed or else we are in trouble

Some of you sha...no wonder a lot of people here keep claiming they can't find jobs after graduation.

How can you see this drone in the OP and swallow the '70 hours of flight' claims like a simpleton? That thing you're seeing there is giving you 45 mins of flight without a heavy payload.

Some movie producer probably ordered this drone to carry heavier camera rigs airbone for movie shoots...these people come collect the thing claim say na 'combat ready drone'.

Some reports can be very irritating. You intercepted some contraband and just gave some skeletal description of what the law says about such importation and failed to give the slimmest explanation of the suspected importer. The next rubbish is to start telling us how much you generate. I opened this thread to get the details of the seized items, not what you generate that has almost no effect on me.

Your aproko too much

It will be released and nothing will happen after this display, na eye service this customs people dey do. Money will soon exchange hands and that's the end. Customs is the most corrupt uniformed organisation in the country.

You have this on good authority, do you?

Presenting the drones, the Comptroller, NCS, Federal Capital Territory Command, Suleiman Bomoi, said the drones were intercepted and seized at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja for lack of End User certificates.

He said the End User Certificate which is issued by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) was a requirement for purchase and import of the drones and other security items into the country.

That small UAV is capable of sending those bandit terrorising Parts of Ondo to hell. I think Amotekun should through the Governor get the End User Certificate to acquire things like this for better surveillance of the forest

See how they are standing at ease mopping at the ordinary drone. They've not yet seen combat ready I pray they don't see it because it's another news we will be hearing by now.

Nigeria is a comic relief sometimes. You're not even ashamed mentioning the seizure of a single 5kg drone in this 2023?? If Nigeria was a functioning country, we'll be a net exporter of military equipment including drones to Africa. What's drone that one can even manufacture in one's backyard for goodness sake ??

Since they don't have work to do. Just like EFCC who goes after guys with dread locks. Is having dreads or tattoo an economic crime?

In the wrong hands, the combat-ready drone would clearly pose a danger to the internal security of any country.

This is so shameful. This is a simple hexacopter with moderate payload that can be bought online without any documentation. View the link below for options:

Talking about 70 hours flight time? Today I don't think there's any rotor based drone that can do over 1 hour flight time. We are just too shameful as a country, haba!!!

The backwardness of our people is beyond comprehendshion.

This drone is used in the Movie industry for HD stable video pictures. Any drone can be converted into military used depending on the range, payload capability and purpose.

Some of us can build drones and the stupid enforcement officers wouldn't understand what the electronics components are meant to do.

Who do we blame?
Our failed Educational Sector or the Government!?

SMH!
