I often wonder why Yoruba people are more interested in the history and story of Eastern region and Biafra than any other group in Nigeria.
In fact it is shocking and totally narcissistic of them.
I watched a video where an Ijaw man from Nembe was lamenting the fact that Biafra failed, and rolled out many historical facts about why Biafra would have saved them from this current "Future" they are living.
I've seen other similar videos, and I don't take them for anything because it is like crying over spilled milk.
Of truth a lot of Ijaw and others (Ikwerre, Ogoni etc) worked with the one Nigerianists to defeat Biafra, but A LOT of them also worked for Biafra.
Why you see more of denials is because Biafra failed.
Nobody likes to identify with failure, hence the vociferous denials of ever supporting Biafra and turning history on its head.
I have studied the Igbo, and from my finding they succeed anyway.. Nigeria or Biafra.
And soon, even inside the Nigeria, haters will still complain that Igbo are dominating them and stealing their lands.

Honukwuru Obasiolu was at Aluu tortured by Igbo biafran soldiers and later buried alive claiming he was a Saboteur.

Honokwuru obasiolu hailed from Rumuigbo and had gone to Aluu to see the condition of his pregnant wife who had gone to the parents at Aluu to take cover in the midst of sporadic shootings during the escalation of the war in 1967. When the wife came back from the farm to hear what befallen the husband, she collapsed and dies with the pregnancy.

His only daughter, Dr (Mrs) Ige is still alive.

These are most likely ijaw or ogoni protesters though… the Igbo denying elements supported the biafran cause until they surrendered.
