pls, do they send you any email that your application is cancel/withdraw before you reapply,

quote author=damdee post=127847581]MY family Canada visitor visa was approved from london Uk and we are on a UK student visa

Wife and two kids Application submitted on August 31, 2023 AND 5 years visitor approval September 15, 2023 ( just 10 business days )
Mine - Application submitted on September 27, 2023 AND 10 years visitor approval October 25, 2023 ) ( 22 business days )

Both of us acknowledged our U.S A. denials in 2017 and 2019. Initially, I failed to declare mine, prompting me to withdraw the application. Subsequently, I submitted a new application after completing a webform disclosing both the U.S. refusal and the cancellation of the initial application. In total, I submitted two webforms – the first addressing the U.S. refusal and the second addressing the application cancellation. Following that, I proceeded to submit a new application on September 27, 2023.

We spent two weeks in Canada and have now returned to the UK.

So you can wait it out, Or just cancel the application using a webform and reapplying again immediately

good luck

I think it varies kinda.
In my case my decision for approval was made days 4 days before now and passport requested. Just today I received a message from IRCC that my eligibility has been completed. Eventhough I just submitted my passport yesterday and waiting for pickup. Just be patient.
Opeyemi007:
Please, who has an idea how long it takes for a decision to be made on a visit application after eligibility is completed? I had my biometrics last week Tuesday(2) and it show eligibility completed on the tracker yesterday. I qualify for the Can+ category cos of my Us visa. Just wondering if anyone has an idea. Thanks

Please, dont attach any blue US refused paper to your Canada application, state all your past refusals to Canada, Us or any other country but dont attach the refusal letter, briefly state you have been refused visa to so so and so mentioned the years, but don't emphasize too much on it.

@mojisolani. thank you as I have said I am not sure if it’s 3 or 2 times us refusal, I am sure of 2 and secondly I do have South Africa Visa on my old passport, but was refused SA visa when I wanted to go again in 2017 on the same old passport, do I have to mention that as well.? I thought Canada only have eyes on the big 4, us,uk,new zealand and Aussie. Can u clear me on that?

Good day everyone
Please is there anyone that did biometric around aug, that still hasn’t gotten a response email from them aside from the email you got on that very day you did your biometric? Am asking because in few days time, it will be 5 months since I did my biometric. I’ve seen a lot of aug applicants on this platform who said they’ve gotten one reply or the other. am just wondering and I need advice on what to do next. Thanks

Please mention all your past refusals, it has nothing negative to do your application, all they are looking at is ifyou are sincere, briefly I was refused this country this year that year ,dont emphasize too much on it .and state all visa approved too. In all package your application well. Family tie, property evaluation, healthy account etc.

Greetings and a happy new year to you all.

I need some advise.

I submitted for the visit visa on Aug 11th 2023 and did my biometrics on Aug 17th in Abuja. I missed a letter asking me for my passport which was sent to me on Nov 8th 2023- to be honest, I don't know how I missed seeing it in my email. I read the letter on Dec 12th 2023 but I was outside Nigeria. That day I sent a CIC form to the Lagos office requesting that I send my passport to a nearby Canadian consulate as I am not in Nigeria at the moment. Today I received a message with a 'refusal letter generic' stating that my application was refused because I did not submit my passport.

Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa
(visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the
requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/
services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada
temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your
application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
(IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee
Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
index.html). I am refusing your application.
• You have not complied with our request for information, per subsection 16(1) of the
IRPA. To date, you have failed to comply with our request for submission of the following
documents: Passport

Please what can I do?

Thank you in advance for your replies and advice.
Wow! i was almost caught in the web too. I even prefer to visit the portal at least 2 times daily because I once read on an India visa thread that an applicant's profile was updated without receiving any mail so it's not even advisable to rely on mails only. In your case, you received a PPR mail but you didn't check on time.

Something similar happened to me on my renewed German visa in 2018. I wasn't around as well. The day I checked my mail was the last date given for the submission of my confirmed hotel reservation because the one i submitted didn't match my duration of stay. It also happened to me when I was placed on a 221g by the USA embassy. Till now, i didn't know why cos I've been travelling to US for years without violating travel or visa rules. Make our enemy no prevail over us ni. I was mailed to drop off my passport within 48 hours at at muri okunola dhl's office as the 221g processing had been completed. I checked my mail the following day, at noon. I had to rush down to submit. Since then, I don learn my lesson.

You'd have to reapply cos the case on this application has already been brought to a conclusive end. Good luck next time.

I submitted my application in December and is still in progress as of now. I want to pay for a new biometric because the one on file will expire soon, but I have a problem doing this because I forgot the answers to security questions or hints for the IRCC online payment service.

Can anyone explain to me what to do in this case?

Calculate the processing time yourself instead of asking people. Is it up to 115days you did your biometric?

Then if is up to date you can raise a webform

Your application is still within the normal processing time, like @levels1.

Additionally, keep in mind that businesses worldwide slow down during the Christmas and New Year's holidays.
