The Supreme Court has re-affirmed Governor Alex Chioma Otti (LP) as duly elected and returned as Governor of Abia State in the 18th March Governorship poll.

The tribunal and Appeal Court had earlier dismissed both petitions and affirmed INEC's declaration of the LP Candidate as valid.

Membership and nomination are within the internal affairs of a political party, the Apex Court held.

Candidates of another political party cannot challenge the nomination or membership of another candidate from another political party.

An appeal against a concurrent finding of fact in the lower courts can not be overturned. (Justice Uwani Abba-Aji JSC)

I don't blame these guys,it's the court that gave them the impression that they can buy judgement. If it's possible in Imo state,it should be possible in Abia in the mind of PDP supporters in Abia .

The people of Abia state rejected the party 'PDP' entirely in 2023.
