Average northerners don't watch Nollywood films, vice versa applies for Kannywood in the south. Kannywood transcends Nigeria, it is patronised by international audience who have similarities to Northern Nigeria e.g Niger, Chad, Sudan, Saudi Arabia etc

I don't think you know who Ali Nuhu is, he's the king of kannywood and one of the most prominent names in our Nollywood industry, he gets a lot of endorsements from different companies and live quietly.
