Very poor formation and coordination, the soldiers were not even taking orders from their superior, they were given instructions to stop firing and they were still shooting.

In this kind operations they need up to 4 surveillance drones to map out the exaction positions of the bandits, having done that the next thing is to flank them
from both sides and encircled them.

Deception is another psychological weapon of direct impact in warfare, the commanding officer could have made it appear as if the are going to attack the bandits from the north but the actual attack would take place from the west. I wonder what they are teaching these commissioned officers at the Nigerian defense academy.

I saw the whole video and honestly I can say everything is rubbish. For starter, the Nigeria army is so unskilled, from this video.

They're all bunched up, loads of disorganised and baffled soldiers. Also, why are there no fighter jets doing the strikes, so the soldiers can go in to sort out the whole place instead of risking these soldiers' lives, they're not even clued up on their surroundings.

I can see the anger of the bloke who looks like their leader telling the other team not to fire. Dodgy communication. They're all lurking, no logistics. Zilch cooperation. So tragic!
