This is being considered.
Going by the irreversible security deterioration in the northern part of the country ,with emphasis on Abuja.

Buhari deliberately compromised national security by allowing his kinsmen overrun massive swathes of territories unchecked .
They were even allowed to graze cattle inside Abuja main town including choice areas like asokoro and maitama..

Now that the commander in chief ,president Tinubu found himself under the siege of this marauding Fulani terrorists, (of no fault of his ), time behoves on him to urgently Re-relocate the capital of Nigeria back to the state of Lagos ..

In doing this , he not only secures the seat of power , but also reignites the hopes of Nigerians..

I think this is the best thing and time to do it and do it swiftly. The kind of insecurity in Abuja now suspicious.

If the Commander in Chief feels threatened by insecurity, he can relocate the capital to anywhere he deem secured and Lagos or Ibadan is the most secured place now.

If he dares it naija will break up asap.
I'm convinced the Muslim north and fulanis are trying to sabotage his government, but he Tinubu brought this upon himself so let him fight the insecurity head on.
And for your information, ibadam isn't safe as there's a geometric upsurge in skull mining and dirty rituals.

Lagos is too congested. They should move it to either Edo or Rivers state to spread the wealth around, but I know some peeps will be too selfish to agree.

The same useless Lagos that odious tribalistic imps are quick to talk down on Nigerians of other ethnic groups? The same Lagos where retards shout 'go and vote in Anambra' during elections?

You're mad. Don't provoke me this morning. Let Lagos be the capital of Odedewa or whatever Republic they want to name themselves. Nigeria's federal capital would remain one that belongs to all Nigerians, where no hateful tribe can claim superiority or ownership.

Can't Nigeria create Mini-capitals in all the 6 geo political zones. The president can live here and there at any given time. Now that he's in Imo state, he will function from his Enugu capital zone for now until he leaves to another zone too... But he will keep Abj as his permanent base

You have some valid points but a move of the capital, from Abuja to Lagos, will not happen under Tinubu.

BAT is pragmatic and very intelligent as a leader. He will know such a move will be used by his Northern opponent and detractors to ginger Northern youth into becoming a menace to a Presidency that wants to "take food" from the mouth off the North.

Tinubu, medium to long term, will focus on strengthening the capacity and growth potentials at regional level because that is the only strategy that can defeat the 'one Nigeria' laxity the North will bank on using to discredit and demarket the Tinubu presidency.

Hahahahahahaha.......

He dare not and cannot. Infact, I believe only through a military fiat can that happen.

That's not feasible.
What about the financial implications?
Infact, finance was one of the reasons a lot of States sold their liaison offices.

If you say legislative and judicial capitals away from Abuja like they have in SA, we can say okay but even at that, it wouldn't work effectively in our system. What we have is better for now.

If the President and his security apparatchik cannot protect where he resides in Abuja, even if he moves it to Bourdillon, there will be little difference when insecurity heightens.

Lagos is not fit for capital!! It's that simple, not because of beef or anything.

Abuja is actually perfect,

The only other places and cities that can serve are
Calabar
Lokoja
Enugu
And maybe Akure..
And this insecurity in abuja looks more like a scheme than the normal insecurity, Jonathan faced this same problem.. I think that that they are trying to demarket Tinubu

Area boys are not kidnappers. Their menace ends with people on the street and mostly at night. The bandits in the north (Abuja) are menace to the whole country. CInC shouldn't be risking his life up north. Lagos is serene for governance.

Relocating the nations capital to Lagos because of fear of bandits with all the security apparatus at your disposal is sheer COWARDICE on the part of the government.

If the government should pack and run away, what of residence and civilians,it means Abuja will be deserted,in other words, the bandits are winning the war.

If this is done the bandits will overrun the federal territory and take it over.

Does it mean that the nigeria army can no longer protect the nations territory, where now is our SOVEREIGNTY
