Cocolatti:I don't know why you guys always attach religion to court case. Will the judgment be delivered in a party or candidate's favour without tangible evidence because of religion? |

This Nasarawa election is the true acid test for the Supreme Court. Let see whether the Judiciary will tow the path of honour or follow the path of shame based on religious bias. |

garfield1:I asked for it yesterday.... but the person, one of Ombugadu's lawyers was at the SC today, so I am expecting still. I don't think it looked good today at the Supreme Court but you and I know we have to fear Kekere-Ekun. Alongside Odili, she is the one that makes the big calls. She made the call in Kogi after Abubakar Audu's death and also made the call with Uzodinma. |

fergie001:You are missing something.she didn't make any call but wrote the majority or should I say unanimous judgment even in rivers.even here it will be unanimous esp if the other judges were anti ombugadu.what happens if that they all discuss and if they are in agreement, one is chosen to write and it usually falls on her. She will be cjn this year and will tread very carefully from now till august |

GuruboiNaija:The Supreme Court redeemed its image by churning out sound judgments on Kano, Abia,Plateau States Guber electoral brouhaha. Nasarawa state should not be exception. The women demonstrated by going naked that they didn't vote for Abdullahi Sule. It is a clear signal of who they voted. Therefore, Supreme court should restore the mandate of the favoured PDP candidate. Not the stolen mandate by the APC candidate. If Supreme Court does this, their image would be restored. They should avoid legal lacuna to short change the people and their preferred candidate. Good luck to people of Nasarawa state. |

| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by fergie001(mod): 7:28pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
garfield1:How do Judges of the Appeal Court or Supreme Court make the call. Most times, the lead is the PJ. They usually have what they call a conference a day before the judgement where they bring the arguments for or against within themselves. Most times, they defer to the ones they believe are the strongest with respect to this kind of issues. Some are very strong constitutionally: Ngwuta, Nweze, Odili, Kekere-Ekun, Okoro, Garba..that's why most times, you see them take the leading judgements. Tijjani and Agim are very very strong. The new set coming in Nwosu-Iheme, first pick...Ogbuinya, 2nd pick. Strong in the sense that they will give judgements others will be afraid to make. See, someone like you who have followed these Judges from the lower Courts can decipher when the judgement is spearheaded by them. |

fergie001:I agree but this case is straightforward as the apex already decided it.the appeal court went ahead to destroy the overvoting aspect which I complained about and also found that the governor wasn't given fair hearing which the dissenting judge touched on.i am still pained by the apex court decision on plateau |

| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by fergie001(mod): 10:06pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
garfield1:The moment Okoro pronounced that witness statements on oath should be frontloaded alongside the petition, I gave up. For Plateau, it's a pyrrhic victory for the PDP. They have lost NA and HoA seats as well. SC should sack 1 Gov jareh, everywhere is too calm. |

garfield1:Nasarawa in history has never voted along ethnic or religious lines. Christians had always voted Muslim leaders in the state, check it. So, your claim that Sule is from a xtian majority side doesn't hold water here. Same people voted him the first time, remember. The issue of religion came to the fore this time simply because a christian aspirant seems to be having an upper hand, which was quite unprecedented in the history of the state. Muslims had always led them, despise being a Christian dominated state. The governor according to Nasarawa people hasn't done well. The loan obtained by almakura his predecessor couldn't be accounted for. They're not seeing what he's using the allocation for. On insecurity, they said he's done nothing to curb it. It's not an issue of religion at all. Both Christians and Muslims voted the pdp guy |
| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by garfield1: 11:07pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Eriokanmi:Oga,the election was divided along religious lines.muslim dominated lgas voted APC while Christian dominated voted pdp.the governor tried his best, the problem was the quest for a xtian indigene to rule and the division in APC.ombugadu simply benefited but he didn't win.if he won,it would have been outright like in zamfara and abia.insecurity has always been there.nasarawa isn't a Christian majority state but 50 50.if christians are more,it will be by a slim majority |
| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by emilo2bad: 11:31pm On Jan 16, 2024 |
Eriokanmi:Stop telling lies the issue in Nasarawa state is religious that is why Peter obi pressure the labour guy to withdraw so that Christian can grab power in Nasarawa state but unfortunately APC is smarter the supreme court is not going to give victory to PDP guy check the report and know where the pendulum will swing |
| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by Teymanhenry(f): 6:40am On Jan 17, 2024 |
emilo2bad:Everybody in the state knows Sule didn't win. He never argued that he won by several votes, he only argued on technicalities. I know several persons who were called to rig the results of Nasarawa and Awe they still couldn't turn it perfectly because the margin was so large. The fact remains victory in court is not about who is innocent but who has better evidence and who bought the judges |
| Re: Supreme Court Reserves Judgment In Nasarawa Guber Legal Battle by emilo2bad: 1:41pm On Jan 17, 2024 |
Teymanhenry:Sule won with valid votes and he is going to win in supreme court Never miss religion with politics that is what will happen to the PDP guy, those who did it in past like buhari in 2007, 2011 never win |
