Don't you realize it might get tough before it gets better.
Many of us think a president has that magic hand to turn an economy saddled with debt around within 8months...
That's unrealistic

But Prof Ndubuisi, couldn't tell us or offers any Solutions!
Is he Investing in Nigeria or not?
Was he amongst those in Diaspora that came to vote?

This thing tinubu is doing is it good, that man won't die a peaceful death. Is it by force to rule a nation. Just look at the calamity, his government has caused. This his eight years would be very hot. Kidnapping is worst now.

What Ndubuisi said here is not true.

“That is why foreign investors are not coming for that 45 per cent gain because if you made 45 per cent on equity but lost 50 per cent on currency, with 30 per cent on inflation, you are poorer”, he said

Investors are not coming to Nigeria because of the nation's unpredictable policy changes and dollar illiquidity due to poor economic structure. It is dangerous if policy changes when you are already in, basically uncertainty.

But when it comes to making money. They will make money via arbitrage and several other methods. Nigeria's interest rate is almost 30% in most developed economies it is way lower, borrow money abroad and fix it here then do fx forward contract to lock your fund against inflation and fluctuation in naira value, so you can repatriate.
FX forward transfer. Lol!
Some had fx trapped for 8-3years. Ethiopian airlines has to exchange currency with dangote cement industries. Most importers us black market currently which has lost more than 70% last 9 months.

At what point do you think we should start judging his performance?
Is it when things gets further deteriorated.
Buhari started in almost similar fashion, and alot of NIGERIANS saw the signs quite early and called him out but some set of people were lenient and pleading for more time, and obviously he got the maximum eight years but tell me what was the result of the patience?

These guys are shying away or completely avoiding their responsibilities, was that not why they were elected in the first place?

They have to initiate the process, set up the road map, creating enabling environment for the plan/vision to materialize.

There has to be political will to do these, deliberate

We are not saying that they should be involved in the operation/process

They can regulate and monitor

This nonsense talk of "it'll get worse before it gets better" is what you ronu chanters have been using to decieve yourselves since Buhari's tenure. Politicians love people like you because you believe anything despite the signs showing you otherwise.
I wonder if you'll say this same thing is Obi or Atiku was in power.

And this your last paragraph is crap. 8 months have passed and things have only gotten worse in this administration. If Tinubu doesn't know what he's doing, he should resign so someone else will take over

The stock market is trying to overcome the devaluation of the Naira. It only helps those who are invested to stay afloat. The current government is the worst after Buhari in terms of economic policy. Starting a government on a very bad note shows that we are in a long and rough ride.
Re: NGX’s Growth: Nigerians Are Poorer Under Tinubu's Government – Ndubuisi Ekekwe by Invest4growth: 9:53am On Jan 22
The likely factors driving the market include but not limited to inability of foreign investors to repatriate profits, which they are forced to reinvest in the market, fast approaching earning session and the expectations of good dividends and low interest paid on savings and fixed deposit accounts. Obviously, the PFAs are not the driving force of the market at this time. Demand is high but supply is low hence price would increase

Keep on defending the incompetent government. There is hardly anything the government can do that will be worthwhile unless they reverse the free float of the Naira.

Fx forward contract not transfer. Airlines can't do it because of their business structure. Also, there are other means to make money in Nigeria.

yeah the interest rate is currently at a premium. Except the cbn governor intends to keep hiking rates, it makes no economic sense to invest now when you cam do that at a discount & avoid the draw down.

These people sha, they should just put Jesus on the ballot paper, since they want a president that will turn nigeria to america in 8months.look at his name self.
A professor talking about foreign investments in a ctippled economy and a new administration with staggering policies, thats the kind of professors they have there.
In 8months now, foreign companies should have littered every city, ptofessor indeed.even secondary school student should not reason like that
So,the president cannot fix the country in 8 months, that's understandable.
To keep the country as he met it for 8 months is understandable.
But to destroy the country in 8 months?
All his policies are destroying the country, not one of his policies has help the masses.
Statistically,at least one of his policies should have helped.

The psychological satisfaction of the president being from my region is far more important than receiving the dividends of good governance. Nepotism over performance any day.

Why don't we too stop Importing these and that and become self-sufficient,like South Korea, even though, their neighbours of 25km( North Korea) is poorer than the rest of the region,so how many goods are we exporting to other Countries to earn good Foreign Exchange (FOREX)?
So, because you are Importing Cars or Vehicles since many Decades now,Tinubu is not good.
Stop Importations for it put Unnecessary Pressures on the Naira!
