⚔Israel has demolished about 1,100 of the 2,800 buildings that before the war stood on the land it intends to use as a buffer zone, FT reports.

Israeli officials declined to comment on how wide the buffer would be.

But Amos Yadlin, former head of Israeli military intelligence, said this month he expected Israel would enforce a ā€œperimeterā€ of 500 metres to 1km inside Gaza once the fighting was over.

ā€œThis will be a buffer: no one will be there, only mines . . . to make sure October 7 never happens again,ā€ he said.

⚔Iran, Niger ink cooperation agreements in Tehran.

Senior officials from Iran and Niger signed several agreements on Wednesday to deeper cooperation in banking, political matters, trade, and economy, as well as in health, culture, and education, Iranian media reported.

Niger’s appointed Prime Minister, Ali Lamine Zeine was received by Iranian First Vice President, Mohammad Mokhber in Tehran, where the signing took place, as reported by the IRNA news agency.

During the joint press conference, Mokhber was quoted saying that the two countries had ā€œformed and held two meetings of a joint cooperation commission,ā€ with an expected upcoming session.

The Iranian official added, ā€œfruitful discussions were held on developing trade and economic relations, and the parties prepared and signed beneficial cooperation documents.ā€

There were agreements on cooperation in technical and engineering services, construction of housing, and automobile exports, among other spheres, Mokhber detailed.

ANOTHER RUSSIAN PROPAGANDA BUSTED
Why the Russian air force thought it safely could fly lumbering Ilyushin Il-76 cargo planes into the Russian city of Belgorod—just 20 miles from the border with Ukraine and a mere 40 miles from the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine—is a mystery.

But as Napoleon Bonaparte purportedly said, ā€œNever interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.ā€

On Wednesday, a Ukrainian missile apparently struck one of the four-engine Il-76s. The airlifter, weighing 100 tons while empty, spiraled to the ground. Radio Free Europe researchers identified three dead Russian crew members.

The Russian government couldn’t deny the Il-76’s destruction: it was captured on video by people on the ground, who swiftly posted on social media. There’s even video from the snowy crash site.

Nor was it terribly feasible to deny that Ukraine shot down the plane. An apparent smoke trail—evidence of a missile—is visible in one video.

But Russia could wrap the shoot-down in disinformation—or at least try to do so. The Il-76, one of around 130 in Russian military service, ā€œwas carrying 65 Ukrainian POWs for an agreed-upon exchange,ā€ the foreign ministry in Moscow claimed. ā€œAll of them, as well as six crew members and three Russian officers on board the plane, were killed.ā€

That might be a lie. A video from the crash site does not depict a lot of bodies. And a list of prisoners the Russians claimed were on the Il-76 reportedly includes names of Ukrainian POWs Russia already exchanged. No, the evidence likely points toward a genuine shoot-down of a legitimate military target—and probably not some terroristic accidental massacre of Ukrainian prisoners by their own government. We may have to reassess as more information becomes available.

That the Ukrainian air force could reach out and touch a cargo plane flying over Belgorod should surprise no one. Kharkiv is heavily-defended with some of Ukraine’s best Western-made air-defenses, apparently including one of the air force’s three batteries of American-made Patriot missiles.

A Patriot PAC-2 missile ranges nearly 100 miles, allowing the Ukrainians to threaten Russian warplanes over Belgorod without ever leaving the relative safety of Kharkiv. By now, Ukraine’s air-defense crews have ample experience setting complex missile traps for Russian aircraft flying inside Russia or Russian-occupied Ukraine.

Last May, a Patriot battery shot down—in quick succession—a Russian Sukhoi Su-34 fighter-bomber, a Sukhoi Su-35 fighter and three Mil Mi-8 helicopters—over Bryansk, in southern Russia 70 miles from the Ukrainian border.

In December, Ukrainian Patriots or long-range S-300s downed three Russian Su-34s in a single engagement over Russian-occupied southern Ukraine. And a month later, Ukrainian air-defenses—possibly the same that executed the December ambush—shot down one of Russia’s rare, and extremely valuable, Beriev A-50 radar early-warning planes flying over the Sea of Azov.

All that is to say, the Russians should have known better than to vector a big, slow airlifter into a possible missile kill-zone. ā€œLanding a transport aircraft in a 30-kilometer war zone cannot be safe,ā€ the Ukrainian intelligence directorate noted.

As usual, the foolish putards will call it Western propaganda since they don't know how valuable a pilot is to the air Force. Why else do you think US enables it's pilots to eject a doomed aircraft. But foolish Russia will sacrifice 3 pilots for some useless POWs

Dude, why don't you send your money to zelensky instead, nope send it to Azov regiment instead, no send it to Bandera foundation instead of some nairalanders. Incase you can't find a way to send your money to the Bandera boys, you can just send it directly to the KKK, they say money has no colour after all.

I really hope you are doing a legitimate business because when showing you have money on social media, government agencies take interest in your source of income. They trace your IP and start their investigation.

Good luck.
Zelensky power no, Azov power no, Bandera power no, white power, yeah that fits you best.

This means that we in Slovakia will also be able to continue the transit of this gas, which will also benefit Austria and Italy, said Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.

The gas transit contract between Moscow and Kiev expires at the end of 2024.

I support Russia but the day they do something wrong, I'll also be the first to call them out.

The deep truth is that: I don't care about these Europeans, or Americans or Russia nor China.
All I care about is Nigeria, Africa. I just want them to be better and to be respected that's all.

⚔Information about the possible opening of a new U.S. biolaboratory in Armenia has appeared on the Web. It is reported that Defense Minister Suren Papikyan last week signed an agreement with the Pentagon on the establishment of the facility in Gyumri.

Given the regular appearance of such news, for example, about biolaboratories in Kazakhstan a month ago, it is not superfluous to remind why the former Soviet republics are so attractive to the United States.
