Even private radio stations are non existent in the state due to acute poverty, but their dick measuring governor rushed to build airport because Willie Obiano built one in Anambra. Even after naming the airport after a prominent Anambra man, thinking it will attract Anambra billionaires to use the airport which is very far from Anambra state, it is still abandoned. Hopefully the present governor of Ebonyi will look more into human capital development of Ebonyi people and how to repatriate the millions of Abakaliki people doing menial jobs like house helps and hired farm workers all over the nooks and crany of Anambra state.

You can't force a private business to establish its headquarters in a given place. They do so if such environment is conducive for them. The Niger Delta is a region where extortion of businesses is a community way of life. Those few ones operating there can attest to it. The multinational oil companies are more comfortable in Lagos. Even after Akwa Ibom state government built a free office in Uyo for Exxon Mobil, they still refused to relocate there. The wahala of the youths in the region is too much.

The reason why Nigerian politicians build some infrastructures is not really because they want to meet a need, but because some these white elephant projects are a good opportunity and conduit for stealing public funds.
