I packed at night unintentionally.

May be they have jobs during the day.
May be the truck was only available at night (because the driver was working during the day).
May be it is privacy.

Finally Road Safety Officers don't operate at night.

Anyone saying it's because their properties isn't appealing to the eyes is lying, mostly it's for privacy sake. While I was still at the University and wanted to change lodge, I packed out at night, and yes, I had lot of valubale properties, from Tv, to Dstv, to home theatre, to fridge, to A.c, to generator, to even a cushion, just name it?!

People who mostly pack out that way, just don't want people to be looking and asking you stupid questions while packing out your loads.

I once packed during the day and my neighbors questions made me forget the mat at the back of the door and gas cylinder.

There are many reasons for this:
1. For peace of mind.
2. The rouge "authorities" that would normally be on duty, constituting nuisance and demanding bribes from the truck drivers must have closed.
3. The roads are usually freer at night.
4. To avoid gossip.
5. The weather is usually cooler at night.
6. The sun will not affect the properties.
7. To surprise other neighbors. When they wake up in the morning, you're gone! 😁
8. Some people and truck drivers usually have opportunity after finishing their usual businesses during the day.
9. Read that number 7 again, slowly.
10. It's a matter of choice, las las.

The last time i packed out from a building it was night o. The guy that was to pack the load came at night during covid 19 curfew. I couldn't get to my new apartment before 10pm. We got to the estate around past 11. Thank God it was a covered truck,i had to pack it on the road while i passed night at my inlaw house nearby. As early as 6am,na me wake the neighbours with a bang on the gate to welcome their new neighbour 😂😂

God bless you. You're the only one that has said what I was looking for. There are no VIO and FRSC officers on the road at night so the vehicle can be overloaded with household properties.

You already know the reason

The last time I packed out after my months quit noticed. The whole thing happened as planned, I came back by 7pm with a pickup van, and luckily other tenants were not around till I packed all my things and I left.

After one week the landlord called that I'm still owing him for the 3months of quit notice

Privacy of course. This is Africa, not Europe. People have the habit of always poking their noses in other people's business here. My friend and his wife visited me in their car last boxing day, if you see how my landlady came to stand outside on the balcony upstairs looking at us eh... Same thing when they were leaving. I will pack at night or very early in the morning please.

The answer is simple . Some packed into that compound with lots of blessing ...but when they are living they realised thst no progress has been made while staying there ...in other not to be laughed up by there enemies ...night is the best time to pack

Those torn foams can be covered with a waterproof jacket. For less than 7k. I just moved house. That's what I did.
