This your statement shows that you don't know the rule to start with. The offside rule states that two opponent players in their own half must be ahead of the opposition player been given a pass. In that scenario only one player was ahead of Semi Ajayi when he received the pass. Most times, one of the two players is usually the goalkeeper.
