I understand all you just said. But the 300w panels i used are 36v in paper and it's definitely not 12v (I'll add a diagram that shows it details). So there's no way I'm gonna series 3 panels that arent 12v together, it's gonna exceed the max 48v input for the controller. I might be wrong.

Drgreatone:

Using a parallel connection wont allow u enjoy the inverter, its minimum mppt voltage is 30v. Connecting it in series would give u better voltage and u wud be using a smaller wire guage as the current wud be reduced.
Glad ur feeezer worked on it. I just got same set up and even though by battery sagged to like 11.4 when i put on the freezer, it picked up at once. Mine is even bigger, it's the 310l size and load was around 140w on the inverter.
U also need to change the wire btw inverter and battery, the manual suggest using a 22mm guage wire for which i used a 25mm for mine. Wud av used up to 35mm but didnt get around.

Hi guys,

Taking out time to apologize for as many as reached out regarding the Powmr Solar MPPT Charge controllers and met its unavailability. I am having issues with my shipping agent, but they have committed to a delivery timeline of next week. So, i am almost sure that it will be available on or before Saturday, unfailingly.

However, it is sad to also notify us of a significant increase in price of the controller. This is due to a 20% official increase in price from the factory and also, particularly, due to the high cost of dollars. Doing business in Nigeria is now an extreme sport. Lots of uncertainties

Notwithstanding, considering that are our values revolve around affordability as we believe that solar energy should be accessible to many, we are still working towards pegging prices that are significantly lower than the competition and even the option of retail importation.

We are also open to recommendations for other brands of MPPT solar charge controllers that will be affordable and does the job well..

Thanks so much for all your patronage and support.

Are you the one that installed this inverter for customer?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by tipsy242: 1:43pm On Jan 27
I have a 1kva inverter and 220mah Mpower Tubular fairly used battery for sale (bought newly January 2022). Selling price is 130k (30k Inverter and 100k battery). Reason for sale is because I'm getting an upgraded inverter setup with two identical batteries and i was advised not to use two new batteries with used one.
Kindly WhatsApp +2348104591211 if interested.

Hmm, I asked for pv capacity, but you said it's "80a built in with the inverter. It's an hybrid one".

Do we now have Hybrid PV?

Better you rephrase the question for him to understand. cool
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 5:03pm On Jan 27
Sorry i must have read you wrong
Pv capacity is 300w 3 pieces combined to get 900w

As for the hybrid i mentioned. That's the inverter. It has charge controller built in

My bosses here, I have a question

5 12v 180w solar panels to be connected in series to get 24v
How'd you go about the connection
Remember you need 2 panel's to make 24v.
The system is a 12v (inverter and battery) charge controller is an automatic (12-48v) 60a
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 11:33pm On Jan 27
Did you take note of the PV voltage when it was generating the 12amps?.

If yes what was the voltage?, If no try and note the PV voltage when it's current is @ 12amps or so.

I have a feeling your panels are connected in series and not parallel, hence the reason for the figures you got.

kristien4:
Hello..can someone help me clear my doubts. I have 3 580w solar panel connected in parallel.. each panel is rated 13amps... thats 39amps. But my pv current shows 12amps and battery charging current 33amps. Isnt the pv current supposed to be higher than 12amps ,. And how does a pv produce 12amp and battery is being charged with 33amps...?? Please help me understand
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ferdiwar: 11:40pm On Jan 27
It depends on the parameters of your system (the charge controller and the battery).

Good evening house, this dc spd, can they protect the inverter when thunder strikes? Assuming the house does not have thunder arrestor.

is the charge controller pwm or mppt, if pwm connect all panels in parallel
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by JoeSef0(m): 7:25am On Jan 28
Pwm. According to the controller configuration. The max wattage for 12v panels is 780w, while 180w x5 will give 900w if I'm to connect 24v i can use upto 1500w of panels

If its a pwm controller, u will have to parallel all but u will have to use a thicker wire to achieve your result but if its an MPPT controller, u can series all panels n a lower rating wire cable for installation
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 8:12am On Jan 28
For 12v system with pwm u cant connect all in parallel, max u should do is 4, if ur panels really output 180w otherwise do 5 n use 10mm cable. For 24v 2s4p, that's 8 panels, 10mm cable as well.

And I hope ur battery is either li-ion or lifepo4 cause pushing 60a down the throat of a single lead acid battery (12v) or 1400w into 24v battery (2 12v) is not advisable.

There is no voltage increase.Pv voltage is 45v on the screen. Its a 51v panel. So i guess length of wire/sun intensity has reduced it. But then again why the 33amps charging current and 12amps pv amps disparity.

connect all in parallel, the most you will see from the panels will be around 600w, you will need to use thicker cables though, at least 10mm. Connecting in series will result in power wastage as your cc is pwm

how many volts is your battery? Looks like 24v, your panels are supplying 12a at 45v which your charge controller converts to 24v at 33amps. It should be way higher than that though as you seem to have more panels

Good morning house,
Please which one is better between 2.5kwh 12v lithium bat3 and 200ah 12v dry cell bat3?
Also , can i connect 2 12v lithium bat3 to make 24v?
Thanks

No, u can't series two 12v LiFePO4 battery together n a 2.5kwh lithium battery is better than 200ah 12v dry cell battery

Thanks bro. The thing is i upgraded my panels yesterday.. 6pieces 580w solar panel. 2 panels connected in series into 3 places. Thats 2_2_2 in series, all paralled together. I just put it under heavy load. My growatt charge controller displayed 2730watts pv input.. 18amps pv and 90v pv. Its a 48v inverter... 4 pieces 12v LA battery is series..
Each panel 51v
13amps
580w. Just wanted to be sure its working fine. Under the heavy load, pv input amps stays at 18amps, While batt says 43amps. Was thinking the pv amps would get to 30amps and above or something. I should just believe everything is fine since I'm getting 2730watts from 3480w panel on heavy load.

I have this mopower 1.7kva inverter and a 220ah tubular haustrom battery. After fully charged with either PV or electricity, the battery drops 2 bar out of 5 bar in the charge controller screen that's without load, just inverter. Battery is just 6-7 months old and I've been experiencing it since installation. I want to know if this is normal.
It was charged full last night. The inverter screen indicated it was fully charged. But while nepa took light the bar and voltage dropped.
