This looks like another loan, from Hong Kong (China). The loan is to be repaid by giving 99 years concession to a Chinese company. angry

We should not allow a foreign country to control our ports.

With so many billions of Dollars invested into Nigeria's economy still, there is no constant Electricity supply. The very poor state of infrastructure is alarming
Nigerians are still hungry and frustrated, politicians are very corrupt

This isn't what we need most. A smaller seaport can be built and then the focus should be on turning vast raw materials into finished products. I rather favour an industrial estate where power is subsidized, security is guaranteed, movement of export is not buggy and can employ many more hands.
I don't see need for a almost $30Bn sea port project. The can learn from Dangote.

Why complaining sir? When your own immediate govt cannot do and rather than using their 13% derivation from the central govt for such investment, the would rather divert it to private pockets.

The young man up there is asking when buhari commissioned dry inland port in niger state... for your information, the project was also carried out in Kaduna! They will lie and lie and forget their propaganda
Why did you then say seaport instead of dry port?. You don't know the difference between a seaport and a dry port yet you open your mouth proudly ignorantly. Better face your studies in school.

If you want to get a quick loan from Chinese, just tell them you want to use it to build a port. China knows the importance of ports to its ability to export goods to countries around the world. I believe most of the consignments to berth at the port will be coming from China too as part of the agreement 🤝

Tinubu is repeating what he did in Lagos in Delta state

That is nice of him
I come in peace.

This project has very little input from Tinubu. I'm familiar with project and the Promoters. The Okoja man that runs the company has been working on this project for over 7 years.

I still remember when he was hustling to get approval from Okowas government.

You cannot give what you don't have, this is what people like me have been clamouring for
Nigeria will never develop until we begin to maximize the advantage given to us by nature
We have good weather, good soil that can grow anything and a teeming population that is eager to work
This project should have been established probably 25 years ago but it is still okay to start today, when we tell people that the biggest Legacy left in Lagos was the Free Trade Zone project which has now become the Biggest Industrial Hub in West Africa,I am equally excited by this new project
I strongly advise the people of Delta state to take ownership of the project, there is nothing that stops a Refinery from being built in that kind of Location
Industrialization will start one step at a time and I am really hoping that this project will not be abandoned
I pray that other States will maximize what they have, nothing stops our brothers and sisters in the North Central from creating an Agricultural Industrial Zone that will process what they produce
It just takes someone with a large heart who sees the future to start such projects that will benefit generations yet unborn
Still selling, good properties with good titles at Ibeju Lekki Industrial Hub
You will give 99 year's concession to another country., where is you logic

3: FG not Tinubu must provide a written confirmation of the Free Trade Zone. 99years concession. Build, own, operate and Transfer.

Only a fool will believe this story without doing some research on the EDIP Hong Kong and Chief Kwame Springer.

Chief Kwame Springer, from Ghana, heading a company in Hong Kong China that can finance a $27 Billion project and you believe without asking important questionshuh.

Can you do a google search of this company and the Chief Kwame Springer to see their track record. I don't think there are more than ten companies in the world today that can finance a project of $27 billion, tackles of a company being led by a Ghanaian. Go to their website, all you read is we will and we want and even this news is already on their website. There website is full of stock photos with no project of their own to show.

Nigerians have seen and heard enough of this rubbish that in the end it will be Nigeria losing money through these scams. You can read about his scams below, from 15 years ago.

They don’t want the Igbos to leave Lagos seaport that why Dey are building ports in useless locations lol
Even kaduna do have inland seaport.

It's more like a loan. But the government already plans to default. Why extend payment period to 99 years instead of 50? $27.9 billion is too much debt to take on as a struggling country. I just hope they engage the best lawyers on this deal. But if this is actualized, it'd bring a lot of development in the south south.
