This looks like another loan, from Hong Kong (China). The loan is to be repaid by giving 99 years concession to a Chinese company. ![]() We should not allow a foreign country to control our ports. |

With so many billions of Dollars invested into Nigeria's economy still, there is no constant Electricity supply. The very poor state of infrastructure is alarming Nigerians are still hungry and frustrated, politicians are very corrupt |

Mynd44:This isn't what we need most. A smaller seaport can be built and then the focus should be on turning vast raw materials into finished products. I rather favour an industrial estate where power is subsidized, security is guaranteed, movement of export is not buggy and can employ many more hands. I don't see need for a almost $30Bn sea port project. The can learn from Dangote. |

Blaze14k:Why complaining sir? When your own immediate govt cannot do and rather than using their 13% derivation from the central govt for such investment, the would rather divert it to private pockets. |

athaboi:Why did you then say seaport instead of dry port?. You don't know the difference between a seaport and a dry port yet you open your mouth proudly ignorantly. Better face your studies in school. -kiss the truth! |

If you want to get a quick loan from Chinese, just tell them you want to use it to build a port. China knows the importance of ports to its ability to export goods to countries around the world. I believe most of the consignments to berth at the port will be coming from China too as part of the agreement 🤝 |

Only a fool will believe this story without doing some research on the EDIP Hong Kong and Chief Kwame Springer. Chief Kwame Springer, from Ghana, heading a company in Hong Kong China that can finance a $27 Billion project and you believe without asking important questions . Can you do a google search of this company and the Chief Kwame Springer to see their track record. I don't think there are more than ten companies in the world today that can finance a project of $27 billion, tackles of a company being led by a Ghanaian. Go to their website, all you read is we will and we want and even this news is already on their website. There website is full of stock photos with no project of their own to show. Nigerians have seen and heard enough of this rubbish that in the end it will be Nigeria losing money through these scams. You can read about his scams below, from 15 years ago. https://www.facebook.com/ThePPCNigeria/posts/beware-beware-beware-of-this-dangerous-scammers-mr-kwamina-rasaki-springer-and-m/1284161891601285/ |

It's more like a loan. But the government already plans to default. Why extend payment period to 99 years instead of 50? $27.9 billion is too much debt to take on as a struggling country. I just hope they engage the best lawyers on this deal. But if this is actualized, it'd bring a lot of development in the south south. |
